snakehips 0
Watching the game last night I got fed up with players going down and the opposition kicking the fuckin' ball out so the 'injured' party could get treatment. This is becoming all too frequent imo. Should we go along the lines of what they do in Rugby League in that when an injury occurs the trainer (usually a laydee I notice ) can run on, without play stopping, to administer treatment? You can bet your bottom dollar that players wouldn't be 'injured' for so long if play was continuing. Seem to recall Sissoko (sp) doing this dying swan act last sat as well to hold up play. geordieshandy 0
Done in union and league, where tbh the injuries are easily as bad if not a good deal worse. Physios gan on, the play carries on (unless it's something really bad and the ref blows up) even if the play is but a few yards from where the injured player is receiving treatment. I remember a couple of times where a maul has wheeled roound towards the downed player and physio and they start bricking it.
Papa Lazaru 0
I've said this for years. In rugby you get real injuries all the time, not a bunch of tarts rolign around on the ground acting injured. Its very simple, play continues and the player gets treatment or walks off the ptich if he can (ie 9 times out of 10). The managers then start telling their players not to fuck about like a bunch of fannies as the game is continuing. Also throw in what they do (or at least did) in hockey. You go off injured and have to stay off for 2 mins, thus nobody pretends to be injured as they'll get a bollocking from their manager. Basially overnight you'd cut out all the feigning injury shite and time wasting in football as the game would continue and they'd miraculously get to their feet again. And lets be honest 9 times out of 10 in football its not an injury to worry about or isn't even an injury at all. So they aren't at risk as the game continues and as for the 2 minute thing, they'll stay on their feet to avoid it, or they'll need 2 mins if they were really injured.
