I remember at the time that nothing much was thought of it as they were so far ahead of us in the league and indeed, didn't some people state things like "hope Bellamy bags a hatful so that it sees the end of Souness"? If Owen had not had that injury, he would have played more, obviously scored more and we may still have Souness in charge today. Same goes had we picked up 3 points at home that day, it might have bought Souey a couple extra weeks, like everyone of his wins did. So, aye, as ever it's a frustrating world. It's the game at Ewood last September you're on about, when some people were saying Souness was right, give him time, we are better off without Bellamy, and those who disagreed were told it was shocking that we wanted NUFC to lose one game and bollix to the longer term consequences...
