Scottish Mag 3
GLENN Roeder has named Michael Owen and Steven Taylor in the Newcastle United squad ahead of Saturday's visit of West Bromwich Albion to St. James' Park. Bryan Robson brings his Baggies north in the hunt for precious Premiership points as they battle for survival - but the Magpies badly need a win to keep up their hunt for a European spot. Albion - without a win in 10 games - have lost their two previous Premiership visits to Gallowgate, while United are looking to complete a league double having run out 3-0 winners at The Hawthorns earlier this term. Record signing Owen netted twice in that Toon triumph and he returns to the squad tomorrow for the first time since fracturing a metatarsal at White Hart Lane on New Year's Eve. Taylor, meanwhile, is called up for the first time since suffering a shoulder injury at Liverpool on Boxing Day. Roeder has named the following 21-man squad: Ameobi, Babayaro, Boumsong, Bramble, Brittain, Carr, Chopra, Clark, Dyer, Elliott, Faye, Given, Harper, Luque, Moore, N'Zogbia, Owen, Pattison, Ramage, Solano, Taylor. sweetleftpeg 0
Being in a 21 man squad don't mean sheet. I don't think he'll even be on the bench.

Optimistic Nut 190
I don't think Roeder would bother naming them in the squad if he wasn't going to at least put them on the bench.

Swifty 0
I think its to soon for Owen out Luque and Chopra up front, i think they would shine as they would put more effort into the game so that they can impress Roeder
