rikko 20
Try increasing the max number of connections allowed. But sometimes they are just slow...
The Mighty Hog 536
If there aren't many people seeding then it will be slow until more people get the finished article and start seeding.

MattM4 0
BitTornado or Azureus is the way to go.
The Mighty Hog 536
I use Azureus. the best of the ones i've tried.
peasepud 59
BitComets the one. Azureus is good but too resource intensive as it uses Java.

Gemmill 47120
I use Azureus too. Usually get around 40-60kb/s but sometimes it goes over the 100 mark. Make sure to forward your ports to speed things up. Do I sound clever?
luckypierre 0
yeah was scrolling down and was just about to mention firewalls.. change the default port from 6881 or whatever it is. Some ISPs block that port. Even if you've got plenty of seeders It can still take a while before things get up and running so sometime you have to be a little patient. I use Azureus too and its by far the best one Ive used

BlueStar 0
Only use a torrent as a last resort for things I really can't find anywhere else tbh. Not stable or reliable enough really.
Gemmill 47120
Re port-forwarding: I forward my ports to one up in the 50thousands, and set Azureues to use this port, and for an hour or so it stays open and I get pretty good download speeds. Then for some reason the port goes back into "stealth" mode and I lose on the download speed. I check it with that "Shields Up" tool, and it's fine for a while then goes. Does anyone have any clue why this is happening? I thought I would never tire of having my port probed but it's getting a bit too much.
rikko 20
I use torrent storm. Average speeds at 40kb-60kb with spikes at 400kb-600kb. Nothing else ive used has come close to those speeds
