Guest CrimsonFault
I'm thinking about buying a laptop to replzce my PC because of the cluster I have in my room with the PC I have (ie wires everywhere monitors taking up my desk space etc etc). Just I dunno if I should. What are the advantages and disadvangtes of getting a laptop over a PC?
Gemmill 47092
The main advantage is that it's easier to carry.
themags 0
Compared to a desktop, you'll pay alot more for a laptop with a smaller spec

adios 717
Limited lifespan, more difficult to upgrade, avoid like the plague unless you actually want to carry it around with you.

Renton 22413
Definitely avoid a laptop if you want to play games. Mind, basic spec laptops have really fallen in price recently and will be fine for web surfing, e-mail, Office documents etc....

The Fish 11079
get both. you can pick up a decent laptop for iTunes and WP documents, use your desktop for fm06 and other such joy. tempted to pick up a newer desktop, getting sick of mine, it's old and slow and it doesn't even look nice. I know I sound like a right old fart but when I was a student I was really poor, despite working. No way on Earth could I afford a computer, let alone 2. Students today, tchhh, don't know they're born.

peasepud 59
Although I do have a laptop I would always have a desktop for doing actual web and programming work. Once I WIFI the place up then the laptop will be used for surfing while dumping, Ive realised that 30-40mins surfing time are lost by shiting each day
