On a (semi) related note, has anyone read the latest insane ramblings of the pope that have stangely been ignored by most the media it seems?

The head of the most influential church in the world is basically as mad as any mullah. Did i imagine that we celebrated the millenium 5 years ago and that we live in the 21st century?

They've been ignored because it's not really news - when he was known to be a 'tradionalist', ie a backwards narrow minded bigot, when he was appointed.

It is strange though, as you say this the 21st century yet religious groups of all kinds are more against progression than ever.

Well it was news to me that his views were this extreme. Makes JPII seem like a moderniser. The pope is one of the most influential, if not powerful, people in the world. Then of course you have Bush, the most powerful. Both fundamentalist christian raving lunatics imo.
