Renton 21983
I've only had a drink on half a dozen of occasions since New Year in a bid to lose weight and get fit. I tend to avoid pubs and drive back straight after the match which is a bit boring. Mind, not feeling ill the next day is a huge reward. Giving up completely for a whole year must be hard. The worst aspect I find is that when you do go out people tend to pressurise you into drinking when you just want to stay on the J2O. It doesn't seem to socially acceptable not to drink in Newcastle. Jill 0
I stayed off the drink on Sunday night for a change when I went to the pub... I drank that much fucking pepsi that I was wide awake all night and felt rough as hell Monday morning.. I normally drink about 8 doubles, get a good night's sleep and feel fine.. that's the last time I try and stay off alcohol.

Also has the added benefit of giving my liver a break and avoiding hangovers.

I can drink a fair amount with no hangover as long as I stick to vodka & lemonade. Works out nicely.. 4 rounds each for my boyfriend and I with a few quid left over from a £20 for some games on the quiz machine.
Ally 0
I went a week off the booze about a month ago, was fucking awful. Got to the Friday at the end and my pint was down my neck in no time. Never again

I remember at Uni they had this piss water called Trent beer or something - about 3% abv. I drank 20 cans once and didn't feel remotely tipsy, although I had to piss a lot, obviously.
