6 x two hours I think but I've been out other than that and my last lesson was pretty much test standard, only small mistakes no majors so I'm confident. It's all about the day I suppose!

I accidentally drove on the wrong side of the road at one point on my first driving test

I was ok on my first one - i was just impressed I could make the thing go

I went the wrong way round a roundabout on my bike course when I was 16 and they still passed me!

Secret to passing your driving test, I found, was to take it in a car with no controls in the passenger seat.

I failed first time around in my instructor's car, which had a break peddle on the passenger side. The cunt took me on a hellish route and I failed by cutting someone up on the blue house roundabout after being stuck on it for what felt like an eternity.

Passed second time around in my father's car with no minor faults. Piss easy route, all quiet roads.

So it was the route, not the car. And as you have no control over the route, your tip is useless. :D

the point is they take you on a much easier route if they don't have any control over the car from the passenger seat

A schoolmate of mine failed about 30 seconds after setting off. Instructor told him he'd failed because he hadn't put his seatbelt on.

Bit harsh, but the guy is a bit of a bellend, so :dunno:
