Considering a job; it's a 50% paycut but an area I really want to move into and one I think I can do well in.

However, it'd leave me after rent & all bills with about £600pm in London...

The next level is about 2yrs away but a significant pay rise.

Dunno. What do you guys reckon?

First things first, drop the word 'guys' from your patter, second, take the job. If you like it and have no commitments then £600

spare cash will do till you move up.

You realise £600pm expendable income is more than most people have?

Cost to travel on public transport for a month in London is about £100, then there's food and that kind of thing. £600 doesn't actually stretch that far in London. Not being a bourgeois dick, it's just very expensive. Sandwich and a drink from a shop will cost about £5, for example.

 I've no idea why I said "guys" I can only apologise.

See, this is the way I'm leaning, but the other half has concerns.
