Wor lass has had her mate round for a coffee this afternoon.  She's younger than us by about 10 years and has anxiety issues.  She's never had a partner as she's had issues with speaking to blokes etc.  Anyways, she's a cracking lass on a whole.

I came in from a bike ride, had a brief catch up with her then went and got a shower.  I came down and she had gone home.  I asked the wife how her day had gone and how her walk and catch up with her mate had gone.  Anyways cut a long story short, she found out her mate who is her mid-thirties has never had a smear test and is having a couple of issues.  So my wife spent a large portion trying to persuade her to go and she would go with her if she was scared.   I hope she does and it's nothing what is happening to her.

If she's literally never really had a male partner she'll be fine mate. But I massively sympathise with her anxiety issues, it's tough. Next time out the shower at least wear a towel though eh?

I went down the stairs bollock naked after being in a deep sleep years ago when wor lass got in after a night out with a mate and shouted me down expecting her to be on her own. Oops! (I gave her mate's personal wank bank a hefty deposit that night). :naughty:

And just like that your hopes for a drunken three way were dashed.

Start a new job next week, other than having to work every Sunday and being a bit of a hike it seems good enough, no night shift/back shifts, three days a week, decent pay, better job. Fingers crossed this time!

Different shift patterns for different roles I think, I know a lad from my last job who's there in a different role to mine doing a different shift pattern. Apparently a few of them already there were after this job so hopefully they don't bear a grudge!

The two lads who interviewed me brought up the football wanting to know who I followed. All I'm saying is the cabal of mysterious Tyneside businessmen have very long tentacles and I got the job. :good:

You know what, I am proud of the lad.

On Friday we went for a walk at lunch and a coffee.  I asked him his plans for the weekend.  He said he had his nipper Saturday and Saturday night.  Sunday he was gonna see.  So I just said have a great time with his bairn, but remember eyes are on him after the last couple of bank holidays and just take it easy.  Came in yesterday and was fine.  He said he had a blow out Sunday afternoon with some mates but Monday went to a thing in the day and only had a couple.

Hopefully its sinking in lol

True.

His home life is private IMO and as long as it's not impacting on his work then fine.  But it has been and that's been the issue.  He's been coming in hanging and not focused.  But that seems to be changing for the positive.  He's still smashing loads of birds at once like, but he's single lol

Good darts mate, sounds like some sort of 50/50 shithole off the A1 so you’re about to become the legendary “Mag at work” :D

 It's funny but the only Job interview I ever had in Sunderland, literally on the banks of the Wear, the interviewer said "We're all black and white here. I hope you're not a Mackem".

Fortunately a better option came up in Newcastle where football allegiance was presumably assumed. 👍

One of my old managers was a manager at nissan, he hated the tunnel travel every day but loved the job apparently. Anyway, he says there was about three managers would select people for interviews, all three B&W. He said there was two piles, an 'interview' pile and a 'naah, y'alreet, mate' pile. The former pile had a high proportion of 'NE' postcodes, 'SR' postcodes.......? Not so much.
