Off to see the new Nissan leaf later on as a possible replacement to my current taxi.

http://www.nissan.co.uk/?cid=pselectricveh...s/electric-leaf

Apparently all the charge points are free for three years and charging at home if required is approx £1.30 a night to fully charge the battery. (I can currently pay £25 - £30 a day in diesel).

No road tax to pay.

Range of about 110 miles.

A boost charge at the local shops or garage takes 10 mins if you get caught short.

Certainly got me interested.

Just saw one of these as a taxi at lunch today, CT.

He had a sat-nav on the go too. Here's the company he was with. If you were still interested.

Surely the 110miles claim is in ideal conditions, doing 50mph with the wind behind you, downhill. All the stopping and starting you do in town I'd imagine you would be lucky to do 3 jobs before you would need to charge up again

Just had a gorgeous few hours down at South Shields sea front, the undisputed fun capital of the North East.

A few sherberts on the sea facing terrace of the Marsden Rattler watching the world go by followed by fun and frivolity at the fair.

For those tramps that live North of the Tyne, a fair is a wonderful place full of Rides, amusements and laughter, all at a reasonable price.

A little bit like that cess pit of a visiting attraction you lot get once a year when all the Gypsies camp out and rob you blind.

Some award winning fish and chips and then back home for a few beers in the garden and a bit of 80' you tubing.

So, what song shall we get tonight under way with?

Living at the semi-tropical paradise that is Whitley Bay, I thank the Lord I don't live in that shit hole called South Shields. Unfortunately, one of my offspring lives in that fly infested, smelly, unkempt, taxi driver attraction that is South Shields, so I have to visit on the odd occasion; however, rest assured that I have had all the necessary inocculations for setting foot in south tyneside. Gives me the collywobbles just thinking about South Shields.

Went to the corner shop and back for some milk, and I was sweating like Paul Wyn at a JLS concert. Ireally don't like hot, humid weather.

I don't get on with it because I'm always rushing or I wear the wrong clothing.

Oh and my eyes are poor in it and it gives me deadly migraines!
