Gemmill 52076 Posted Friday at 05:27 Share Posted Friday at 05:27 Just come downstairs to find my minger of a cat has killed a rabbit during the night. It was lying next to the bin in the kitchen with its back leg chewed off. 🤮

We live next door to this "nature reserve". In quotation marks cos it sounds nicer than it is. It's usually just mice, this is the first dead rabbit. My last two cats, one of them brought a rabbit home but it was absolutely fine. They just brought it home and let it chill in the kitchen with them until I came down and had to take it back to the field.
Monkeys Fist 46118 Posted Friday at 06:37 Share Posted Friday at 06:37 Domestic cats are the number one killer of birds in this country (after me of course). There’s a growing lobby who would like to see them kept indoors under lock and key and only allowed outside if tethered. (again also after me.)
Holden McGroin 7868 Posted Friday at 06:50 Share Posted Friday at 06:50 Aye. Isn’t it like 50 million birds a year in the UK? That was my counter argument when the mrs decided she wanted a cat. It. didn’t work and now I have no birds in my garden - which I used to enjoy from my garden office.

My protests against were also utterly disregarded when we got our furry shit machine, Dweezil. He’s also caused our feathery friends to vacate our garden, but I think it’s just in protest at his astonishing stupidness, since he’s soft as shite and probably scared of birds. I was throwing a ball about the back garden for him the other day, which he was unbelievably excited about, being a dog, and in one of his attempts to get said ball, he forgot that brick walls are solid entities and hurt when you charge head-first in to them… … like I said, thicker than a mackem’s belly

Only it was both legs, and the frog was still alive and trying to hop away. 😢

Locked the cat flap, then got her in the house with it left outside and have just had to dispose of it. Fucking minger.

Fucking minger. She's trying to provide for the family As much as it's annoying to you, it's some cat tbf. In bygone days she would have been held aloft as some sort of wondercat, bringing rabbits home.
