In response to why haven't the police been more aggressive or why aren't the army on the streets its because that would escalate the situation and only have the effect of making martyrs/heroes out of the rioters. Whereas arresting them and handing out severe sentences across the board will prove a bigger deterrent. Agree in the main CT. Two clarifications though. The areas of the country that have the biggest issues with immigration are more often than not the ones that have the least immigrants. Sunderland was 95% white English in the 2022 census. Its almost as if its not an issue with immigrant themselves but someone convincing the people of these places its immigrants to blame for their situation? I don't agree immigration has been handled poorly for decades. The UK has always had immigrants. When we joined the EU FoM worked very well in the main. the UK was probably one of the most diverse integrated societies in Europe. It wasn't an issue until rabble rousers like Farage made it an issue, and dragged the right wing of the tory party in with them. Sorry, but it's Brexit that has caused (legal) immigration of 700,000 per annum, many of whom are looking for permanent settlement. Brexit has also not helped illegal immigration. And guess what, turns out the racists like people from India and Nigeria even less than people from Poland. Well tough, because that's what they voted for. I started grinding my teeth a couple of years back. The dentist had this pen thingy where he scanned your teeth and came up with an exact 3D replica of them. Moulded a guard for my bottom jaw on this and it works fine. Also use toothpaste for sensitive teeth.
