Don't tell Gloom, but I looked at AND DISREGARDED Matfen. Ended up at Jesmond Dene House, darling!

That was number 2.

Number 1 was at Reform supporter John Hall's Wynyard Hall.

There will be no number 3.

Can anyone here give me a recommendation for a fancy hotel?

For one night only myself and wor lass are leaving the kids with my dad in Durham.  First night off in 5 years.

Looking for something a bit special where we can also have dinner (or get dinner nearby).

Considered Lumley Castle but their restaurant gets slated.

Countryside rather than city, hopefully have a nice walk at some point, presuming she is still able to.

TIA.

Langley castle although it has been a long time since we stayed there.

Stayed there and its decent.  Bradley Wiggins was smashed in the bar too

Did you see that reporting about Wiggins recently that he's completely skint?! Rinsed through £13m and has either had to sell or is considering selling his medals.

What a fucking dick!

My old coach used to ride track and his Maddison partner was his ex wife and she was always moaning about him being a dick head apparently.

He keeps saying he will tell the truth one day about the jiffy bag etc but he wont.  Blokes got mental health issues and its not a surprise with what happened to him as a bairn like.

At the risk of causing some sort of cheesy chips meltdown, has anyone stayed at Seaham Hall, as that looks to be a cut above Matfen and Rockliffe?
