Going a bit OTT on here regarding Stevie, FFS as he might say. We've all took the piss/went too far/made tits of ourselves on here. Ant hasn't banned him, whatever he thinks of him he's obviously heard it before. If you can't get a laugh from Stevie now and then you've no sense of humour. (And yes, I find the 'briefs' craic funny too).

Just as long as you ignore his racist/islamaphobic craic I'm sure he's a good fella.

Aye, I mean he must be an engaging enough bloke as otherwise I'd have unfollowed (sorry, "deleted") him a long time ago, what with some of the stuff he comes out with. He does seem to have got angrier (perhaps understandably) and more repetitive (ditto) since his illness though.

Yeah it's a surprisingly lucrative enterprise. He does have something like 200k subscribers after all. As I say though, he's also sponsored by betting agencies and seems to do random product plugging these days. No idea how much more that brings in but I reckon it'd be in excess of another £20k, easy.

You know on Twitter, there's a piece of software that tells you how many of an account's followers are actual people and not spambots/dead/fake accounts; I wonder if his subscribers are legit?

Mind you I suppose if he gets paid on views, rather than subscriptions it doesn't really matter?

I think we have to accept that he's bizarrely popular. As I say, he has other sponsorships from betting companies and I think he's been invited into bigger online chat shows before. It's not the tactical insight anyone's there for mind, it's the rage.

I'm not actually quite sure how it works regarding views/subscriptions but I suspect you're right that it's more view based.

Quite the idiocracy we're living in.

Aye youtube works on views not subs, though more subs/likes on a video pushes it higher up in the recommended list for people who wouldn't normally know about it, leading to more views etc and so on.

If people are prepared to watch it, then fair enough. Although I can't help but feel that his success is directly disproportional to Newcastle's...

He delivers what people want a newcastle fan to be, a fat, loud, arse.

He's like the arsenal fans who always go into meltdown during interviews or that dick singing the jose mourinho song.

I wonder how many newcastle followers he has.  To have 300k is monumental.  NUFC themselves have less than one 10th as many subscribers on youtube.

He has more subscribers on youtube than the big nufc twitter accounts like Caulkin, Ryder, Douglas, TF, The Mag, Steve Wraith. the supporters trust and ashleyout.com have COMBINED!

Without knowing the nufc.com reader numbers, he could be the most influential Newcastle supporter there is... after Shearer.

No wonder everyone thinks we're fucking thick. I'm fond of the True Geordie video where he teaches you how to talk to lasses

Step 1: Wear a hoodie with your own face on

Step 2: Practice shouting so she can hear you across a crowded bar full of her peers

Step 3. If she has a lad, hockle in his pint

He'd fucking love this, I'm sure.

The thing is though, he gets a lot of love in the comment sections - it's not like they're all there laughing at him. I genuinely think people watch him for his raging.
