Can't, I quite like there stuff as well if I'm honest.

Days when pop was happy.

If you hate me after what I say

Can't put it off any longer

I just gotta tell ya anyway

Bye bye baby, baby goodbye

(Bye baby, baby bye bye)

Bye bye baby, don't make me cry

(Bye baby, baby bye bye)

You're the one girl in town I'd marry

Girl, I'd marry you now if I were free

I wish it could be

I could love you but why begin it

'Cause there ain't any future in it

She's got me and I'm not free, so:

Bye bye baby, baby goodbye

(Bye baby, baby bye bye)

Bye bye baby, don't make me cry

(Bye baby, baby bye bye)

Wish I never had known you better

Wish I knew you before I met her, gee

How good it would be for me

Shoulda told her that I can't linger

There's a wedding ring on my finger

She's got me and I'm not free, so:

Bye bye baby, baby goodbye

(Bye baby, baby bye bye)

Bye bye baby, don't make me cry

(Bye baby, baby bye bye)

I've got into a daft argument with an old mate....it could be solved by some kindly soul with a better memory of the early nineties than me answering these questions..

1. Was the Mayfair on the site of what is now the Gate?..

2. if the answer to that is yes, what the fuck was what is now the O2 called back then?...

3. Was there a venue called "the Riverside" in town or am I imagining it?...was it near what is now the Gate?..

Well, there you go....I thought the Riverside was on the site of the Gate and the Mayfair was where the O2 is

We went to see this, which was cancelled the first night and went ahead the following night, I said it was at the Riverside...am feeling a bit like Terry Fuckwitt now :idiot:

A lad I worked with a few years back had worked down the mines in Uganda...he said Ugandan women looked very much like Ugandan men, and most bore more than a passing resemblance to former president Kenneth Kuanda

Nah, it'd be symbolic and mean next to nowt really, but you'd think that'd be all the more reason for someone to speak up. Oh well...

The recent(ish) Stephen Fry documentaries about homosexuality around the world, including some of the countries where there are laws against it, were pretty great (if difficult) viewing. Obviously not exactly light background entertainment, but you get a little insight into how things must be on the ground, anyway:
