Canny team like Lyon, two individual lacks of concentration at the death has cost them. Like I said Satda, Houllier wouldn't be the worst appointment in the world...

I would be seriously pissed off with another Liverpool reject. I was hoping Lyon would win purely so this eventuality was less likely.

Milan got very lucky last night.

They'll be playing Barca (hopefully) in the semi's. Then it's "arrivederci Milan"! :D

Yeah, hopefully. I've always liked Barca and I'd like to see either them or Arsenal win it.

Barca vs Arsenal in Paris would be nice. My head says Barca, my gut feeling Arsenal... Dark horse - Villarreal

TBH Houiller at first wouldnt be my first choice, but you have to look what he has acheived in footy, I would say get him in IMO.

Proven in the EPL, he just went off at the end after he had surgery really.

I agree. Houliers merits is very impressive, plus he knows the EPL inside out. IMO he and Roeder (assistant) would be a very good solution if Martin O'Neill doesn't come. An extra bonus could be that he knows Owen very well....
