MattM4 0
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/4859650.stm Fifa has turned down a request by the Football Association to use video evidence to punish players that dive. FA chief executive Brian Barwick gave the game's world governing body an idea on how the problem could be combated. A Fifa statement said: "A disciplinary committee may rectify obviously incorrect decisions taken by a referee. "But a referee's discretionary decision cannot be classed as such - in general, factual So they're just leaving it to the ref then, pathetic. It is not 100% the refs fault and duty to make calls on players diving and faking. They already have a job to do calling fouls. FIFA could easily lend them a hand, and make their job so much easier, but no. Yet again, as ever, a lot of talk, and absolutely no fucking action. They are a bunch of wallies that are helping to kill off football. Watching CL footie nowadays is cringeworthy and painful to be honest.
Guest alex
Typical of FIFA, moan about cheating, say they want to do something about it then block an opportunity to do something about it when a good idea comes along.
Happy Face 29
They'll be coming up with some daft new offside variation instead. You're not offside if you don't touch the ball and the goalkeepers line of sight to the ball is unimpeded. Dafties.
