Scottish Mag 3
From .com From the official website of Republic of Ireland side Bray Wanderers, a team based in the coastal resort to the south of Dublin: Bray Wanderers will host UK Premiership outfit Newcastle United in a friendly match on Tuesday 09 August. Kick-off in the Carlisle Grounds will be at 7.30pm. Ticket prices will be 15 euros for adults, with concession tickets (children, students, OAPs) at 8 euros. The Magpies visited the Carlisle Grounds back in August 1998, when they ran out 6-0 winners in a pre-season game - Shearer grabbing 3, with two from Paul Dalglish and one from Didi Hamann. Barney 0
The Irish League sides are far better than they used to be. Still nothing great, but they'll be fully fit as the season is in full flow at the minute. They'll be better than Yeading, and Brian Kerr has likened the level to that of the 1st Division in England. I'll be at the match, so I'll hopefully have a report of how the game went for anyone who doesn't make the trip.
