Guest BigThompers
What? Different eras. He's singing pop music and is one of the better artists there is around at doing so. Like it or not. Class doesn't change no matter what era it may be. Standards just drop. But you like Arcade Fire? One of the most original bands out there nowadays. Win Butler may not be a fantastic singer but atleast he's writing brilliant music, unlike your mates Will or Chris. THEY ARE GOING TO BE ORIGINAL BECAUSE OTHER BANDS WOULDN'T HAVE THE BALLS TO RELEASE SUCH TRIPE

We look back and call their music Swing, or Jazz, just like in 40 years time we'll look back at the stuff Coldplay, Blunt and Kid Rock produce and merrily box it up as shit. NJS 4389
I quite like Coldplay, but now I'd love it if their album is a bigger flop than Invincible. Me too - being such an argumentative git I'll be independently auditing every sale. Incidentally I noticed from the ads that Coldplay have done an exclusive deal with iTunes - not saying it will limit sales but its another example of sucking corporate cock. Also BT I love the way you shifted it to "increasing sales" after I named a band who'd outsold them during their lifetime (RHCP) - I admire your twistability in the face of defeat. Funeral has a Metacritic score of low 90s. http://www.metacritic.com/music/artists/ar...neral?q=funeral and x/y has a metacritic of 72... http://www.metacritic.com/music/artists/co...andy?q=coldplay so big thompers. explain how coldplay are more popular with critics based on this evidence. LeazesMag 0
Coldplay Didn't break America... Clicky Clicky So the 90s and 00s U2 didn't either then? U2 have sold a shit load of records in America and I hasten to refer to the Sold out Arena tour with support from some of the UK's biggest bands. Look at NJS's list again. Jesus.Wept. Well you're the only one with posting 'clicky clicky's aren't you. I 'clickied' it and found that it suggests that U2 are living on 80s success in America? Not really like. How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb sold 3 million & All that you cant leave behind sold 4 million. But selling that many isn't "breaking america" according to you and your clicky clicky? They had already broken America. I was referring to the fact that they aren't living on their 80's success. Avril Lavinge has sold as much as coldplay in less time by the way She a band too now? If you divide albums sold by band member and work out an average sale per man, then Dr Dre is way bigger than U2 have ever been!!! Wowowowowow She's in a band. Since when has it been sale by band member? The Polyphonic spree must have sold like 5 records Aren't you just a little embarrassed now? Since when have we been comparing bands to indivicual artists? bet you wouldn't defend Freddie Shepherd like this
