Park Life 71
Where are you guys getting all your album sales figures from? Last.fm have Coldplay as their third most listened to artist. Obviously not a perfect indicator but it shows what a lot of people are listening to: http://www.last.fm/music/+charts/?charttyp...2000-1211716800 I see Radiohead at One. LeazesMag 0
or if you start from 2000 as Thompers suggested then Kings of Leon outsell coldplay by 6 Million. so the gospel according to thompers is that music began in 2000 and football began in 1998. Fuck off man you decrepit old cunt you're boring as fuck ouch

Park Life 71
Thompers owned again. I said Radiohead were bigger Thread perhaps needs re-titling? bigthompers versus the world ? Thompers gets arse raped repeatedly as incidental music by Eno is heard wafting in the background. TBf I never realised Coldplay were that big....All those housewives in Surrey must really be buying into it. Tom 14013
We have proved by nearly every aspect imaginable that Coldplay aren't the biggest band in the world. I did like ''A Rush of Blood to the head'' like. ''Green Eyes'' is an amazing song. The title track is good too.

SloopJohn 0
the thing is. even though all radiohead fans hate on coldplay. radiohead fan boys are just as bad if not worse than radiohead fan boys in their closed mindedness.

Guest BigThompers
also if we're talking the artist who people have heard the most either in production or his own songs then Brian Eno would surely be the biggest. Oh he a band now? no. but he's a musician and the two are mutually exclusive. i don't think people go 'oh i like bands but i don't like solo acts'. that's ridiculous. so they should be lumped together. Brian Eno is the most heard most musician on the planet. there is no doubt. either in his solo, group or production work. So what has that got to do with coldplay being the biggest BAND in the world then? Nothing, totally fucking unrelated so fuck off you spoon

The Fish 10876
I don't understand this thread. Thompers, if one arranged the parameters in such a way they could prove that at a particular time in a particular fashion "Andrew W K " was the biggest musician in the world. I don't understand how you can discount artists who've been around longer and haven't released an album in a while, Elvis, the Beatles and the like are still far far bigger artists/bands. I want you, in clear and idiot proof terms, define what precisely makes Coldplay the biggest band in the world? From what I've read it appears to be Global album sales since 2000, is this right?
