Shame the lass has missed out on a lot of schooling thanks to her arsehole brother. The daft thing is, iirc, the school uniform she was supposed to wear is approved by the Muslim Council of Britain. What a waste of time and money. Also, it's obvious to all and sundry that Cherie Blair got involved as a publicity stunt to show that, despite the 'War on Terror', the Blairs were behind the Muslims of this country. Boils my piss as this sort of thing actually leads to racism/prejudice because of the perception of 'special treatment'.

The right decision imo, well done law lords.

The amount of money spent on that case pales into insignificance compared to the war in Iraq does it not Leazes?

Yes, but the war in Iraq some would say had to be done regardless of the cost, whereas this pile of shite above is a complete nonsense - throw the fuckers out of the country if they are not prepared to wear the school uniform like the other kids - I see the daft cow is now considering appealing on the grounds of human rights...

Do you agree with me or do you think its alright for some kids to not wear a school uniform while others do

shocking decision imo

The jilbab, or headress she wanted to wear is not a religous belief but merely optional dress, th ekoran asks women to dress modestly and has no special rules when it comes to the wearing of headresses etc...

She should wear the same uniform as the rest of the school, which is 79% muslim.

79% also wear the normal aporoved by the british muslim council uniform

waste of money and time tbh

Read the article again. The law lords have overturned the original decision, so they are in fact in agreement with you, me, and Leazes.

Correct decision and indeed the only decision anyone with even half a brain could have reached, but the disgrace is that she (or the people using her) have been allowed to piss away all the money and time on stupid cases like this. And it often rarely ends here as people invariably can appeal again and again to different people and for no real reason other than they didn't like the decision, not that they have any valid grounds for appeal.

I don't agree. It was an important test case, and has set a very important precedent, which will effectively prevent cases like this in the future. This is how our legal system works, and it's pretty effective imo. If you don't like it, why don't you go and live in Saudi? :)

Well, no; it's ridiculously inefficient, but it's the best we can do. :)

I'm with you on this one Renton

The school asked everyone whatthe uniform was going to be and she only complained a lot later when someone wound her up - simple - either wear the bloody uniform or move to a school that suits you..................
