MattM4 0
Why is it that a lot of our players seem to lack some footballing basics? Not only this season but for years it has been the same story. As soon as there is a decent side against us, Liverpool is a prime example of this, we seem embarrasingly crap. Dyer, just running the ball out of play. Ameobi, cant control it, running it out of play etc... (does it against any opposition though) BoumBoum. Some players seem to not have their brains on, and dont realise slacking off at this level can be lethal. Once again an embarrasing NUFC today. yay
Papa Lazaru 0
Its stuff like you're mentioning that show we're crying out for a decent coaching set up at this club from top to bottom and that Fat Fred has to ensure this finally happens with his next appointment. Ameobi's concentration and awareness are at time unbelievable, he doesn't even know where the touch line is ffs and he is often caught unaware by passes to him and anything done quickly by team mates! Ugly Mackems 134
The players by the time they are 20/21 have more money in the bank to last them 10 lifetimes. Just how do you motivate players who quite frankly don't give 1 shit whether there team win, lose or draw?
Gemmill 46035
When we get a throw in, 8 times out of 10 we immediately give it away, although this has improved on the right flank since Nobby came back, thanks to his close control. Canny pathetic all the same though.

Kevin Carr's Gloves 3974
SWhen I was at school many years ago I was taught you marked a man by getting between him and the goal. Have thoughts on this changed or are our players just stupid and keep confusing goalside for behind?

BTW, how many times did Shola stray offside? Shearer was glowering at him.

BTW, how many times did Shola stray offside? Shearer was glowering at him. 108195 how come, when he is offside he manages to control the ball impecably, even have a great shot... but when he's clean through then it all goes tits up and the ball is bouncing all over the place (he must have though his goal was offside today)

Shearer was glowering at him. 108195 thats about all he fuckin did then 108201 The shot he had in the first half which went miles over, was shite, considering he is meant to be a world class finisher. Shearer that is, not Shola "god" Ameobi.
Howaythetoon 0
Our team and those who play for our club mirror our club, panic, bad timing, wrong choice, big talk, little conviction. Its the culture of the club that needs changed, not the players per se. Two managers would do that, Hitzfeld or Big Sam. The rest would work within the boundries of their job, i.e make do with what they have or get the best out of what they have. Or at least try to. We need more, we need an overhaul from top to bottom on and off the pitch. IMO anyway.
scribes 0
We need a right back, 2 centre halfs, a left back, a center forward at least so its time for Shepherd to get his cheque book out or we are sunk

We do need to strengthen but major surgery isn't required. Liverpool were gash last year league wise, one or two additions later and now look at them. For 18 months our players have basically been working without any form of guidance, even great players need guidance. In the short time under Roeder's fairly simple and straightforward guidence, we've improved a lot, now we need guidance in technical areas, allied with a real sense of purpose and continuity, to improve further so we can compete with the Liverpools of this world. There is a good team in there, but it will take someone special to bring it out of them and to improve on a good team by adding to it so it becomes even stronger. And I don't just mean by spending money in the transfer market. The future could be bright if Freddy shines the torch in the right direction... MattM4 0
I was trying to remember when Shola actually strayed onside to be honest. 108226 Shola's lack of basics is simply shocking. It's been said many times before, If he wasn't a geordie he'd have been shipped off a long time ago. Moreso, had he been a local lad in any other Premiership team he would have kicked been out too.
