Scottish Mag 3
Phoenix Nights star Dave Spikey has been named as the replacement for Jim Bowen at the helm of Bullseye. Spikey will host the darting gameshow, which is being resurrected with a "21st century twist", alongside original fixture Tony Green and sidekick Bully. "I'm excited, apprehensive and mostly honoured," said Spikey. "Bullseye is a great, great show with great contestants and great prizes and it's an absolute privilege to be involved." Bullseye returns with new episodes beginning Monday, April 17 on Challenge.

catmag 337
I think that Peter Kay would have been class doing Bullseye after seeing his stand-up routine about it

geordieshandy 0
Anyone seen Dave Spikey do stand up? I got my brother the dvd for christmas and I haven't had chance to pilfer it yet. Supposed to be very good though. And he's the only reason to watch that 8 out of 10 cats thing on C4.

The Mighty Hog 529
I've got the first Dave Spikey one, Overnight Sucess Tour. It's canny but I think there was a newer one for this Christmas. Not had a chance to see it yet.

Sparkle 0
Dave Spikey is a crease but no one can replace the legend that is Jim Bowen... was at my uni the other week and everyone still thinks of him as royalty! Although Bully is the real star of the show..... IIIIIIIIIIIIIInnnnnn 1...... Lets show them what they could have won!!
Craig 6700
Saw Jim Bowen after-dinner speaking last year. Still a funny man. 107322[/snapback] The bloke used to live in the same village as me - complete and utter twat! Always fucking bigging himself up in the pub and putting people down! He upset a bloke one night who nearly impaled the fucker on the dart board. Now there's irony!
Jusoda Kid 1
Watched it last night and wasn't to impressed with the new bloke but the biggest shock was the prizes, they were worth less than the prizes on the old show, the audience looked full of soap dodging students as well
Craig 6700
I heard a rumour that the old show had some deal with a boat wholesaler which meant that they got the speedboats on the cheap. The result of which being that whenever a pair won the 'star prize', 99 times out of a hundred it was a speed boat. Whenever it was a case of "have a look what you would have won", a brand new sparkling car was wheeled out! Now we know the reason why they never revealed the prize til after the final throws! Smooth Operator 10
I have to admit, when the clock strikes 10 and I turn on Challenge TV (channel 121)....you can't beat a bit of bully!!! I'm addicted, wor lass likes to watch Enders on BBC3 at 10 bells but she's been told that 10 bells means Bullseye. They've still got the classic trouser press prize, but Spikey doesn't seem to want to use the BFH catchphrase! Got one complaint though, they had Phil "the gay power" Taylor on the other day throwing the darts for chairty, he had to beat 301 with 9 darts, he ballsed it up but they panned the camera out on his last throw and claimed it hit the treble 20 to get him over 301!
