Kevin Carr's Gloves 3962
Now officially the most honourable bloke in football. Refusing a pay off clause in his contract.
Gemmill 46020
Fair play to the bloke if it's true. However, he'd be better advised to have the clause in there and refuse the pay-off if he feels that's the right thing to do at the time. Anything could happen between now and when he leaves Man City, and this just gives the club license to take the piss out of him if they want to. Guest CrimsonFault
Aye. He said the money should be given to the next manager to drive the club on; instead of paying him off.

ewerk 31195
It works both ways, he's a young ambitious manager and he knows that the fact no compensation would have to be paid should another club want him would work in his favour.

He's refused his pay-off, that can't mean he's allowed to walk for nothing if he gets tapped up? Citeh would have to be daft.

So in actual fact the contract is pretty worthless as neither side can enforce it if one party decides to terminate it.

Asprilla 96
Seems sensible to me.....as long as both parties are happy, the situation doesn't change. If the club fuck him off, he walks, if he goes all Souness, they sack him! GENIUS!
