we’re not a Superstitious lot on here but I’m alarmed by the lack of your 5-0 prediction. We know who to blame now if we lose

Turn the volume right up on the shed clip
The sound of the glass breaking spells out  5-0 in Morse code

Yeah. They’ll sit deep then hit us with pace. Sarr, Eze & Mateta are a handful. Bar their awful start to the season, they’ve been good.

First goal will be key.

Agree it won’t be easy. It’s a much tougher task than Man U - they have some dangerous players up front and Wharton in midfield, who looks the part.

We could do with an early goal or them getting someone sent off in the first half to settle us down. It’s the sort of game where the crowd could get nervous but I’m hoping the midweek factor, under the lights with more time for pre match beers, will offset that. I was listening to one of the podcasts earlier and someone mentioned our Wednesday night game record: we’ve won five and drawn one of our last six

Is it worth resting Joelinton seeing that he's one card away from a two match ban and gets an amnesty from that after tonight?

Good question...

I'd say yes. I think we can do Palace without him whereas he definitely improves our chances against Villa. Willock instead? I reckon he'd be fine for this match.

I think he can get through a game against Crystal Palace without getting a yellow. He's managed to go 4 Newcastle games without picking one up.

I'd say play him and, if he gets a yellow, make sure he gets a second.

I've no beef with Palace, other than Parish being a bit of a cunt. However they are in our way so must be ruthlessly trampled under foot. HTL

That's more than enough... before you consider the banner ewerk is talking about.
