The tears at the end were the outpouring of emotion which he had kept properly bottled during the game, which is not always the case. I have no left leg, and barely a right one tbf, but the only goal I remember scoring when I regularly played was with my left. Just swung at it, felt the wrongness and watched it bounce spasmodically, flummoxing the keeper completely. It's sort of settling in now that we've won something. If you'd told me after the takeover that it would only be 3 years til we won something, I probably wouldn't have believed you. Especially considering where we were when the takeover happened. What a fucking brilliant appointment Howe was. Genuinely feels like good things could start to happen for us now. We'll improve the squad in the summer, and we already know we can go to Wembley and, with the right game plan, take on anyone.
