That was class. I even enjoyed watching the “event” in the end. Big crowd but looks like most of those lining the streets made the right call by going to the boozer. I imagine town bars will do a roaring trade this evening.

Bruno stole the show but I enjoyed Isak’s attempt at Geordie too. And finally an interview with him without a question about his future!

The Sela drone thing was a bit anticlimactic but maybe it was more impressive in the flesh.

I assumed the surprise thing was gonna be fireworks but if they had anything like that planned, the fact it was blowing an absolute hoolie would have put paid to it.

I fast forwarded through the event just to see the bits where Bruno was swearing.

Missed it as I was at my dad's 80th this afternoon but got back just before the bus left SJP, amazing watching it and that left the town moor bollocks in the shade. Quelle surprise! The players must be thinking wtf seeing those scenes, gutted I missed it but pleased I got to see it on the YouTube channels. Can't help but think what fan decided to give the parade a miss once they knew it was happening to stand on the moor listening to the 'entertainment', seriously, what the actual fuck?

Aye the bus parade was where it was at. As soon as they cut to Pete Graves screaming questions at Les Ferdinand, that was it for me.

When the was team there it wasn’t too bad and Bruno was fucking magic, but I was honestly expecting better craic tbh. As others have mentioned, the likes of Fender, Nail, Knopfler would have lifted the entertainment to another level. Brian Johnson would have been my preferred choice tbh.

Having this kind of event two weeks after the final ahead of a midweek game wasn’t helping too.

I enjoyed this. It was a bit cheesy, a bit 'local' but the players bought into it, massive turnout, entire city united around the football club. Looks like the stream had 40k watching as well from around the world.. lots of people impressed with the turnout and so on.

Positive day for the club, and everyone associated with it.

RTG have decided it's shameful that a crowd about ten times the size of their average attendance turned up today, while simultaneously failing to to comprehend why 300,000 people gathering to celebrate something with a football club made national news.

Magedia at it again.
