Big crowd but looks like most of those lining the streets made the right call by going to the boozer. I imagine town bars will do a roaring trade this evening. Bruno stole the show but I enjoyed Isak’s attempt at Geordie too. And finally an interview with him without a question about his future! Quelle surprise! The players must be thinking wtf seeing those scenes, gutted I missed it but pleased I got to see it on the YouTube channels. When the was team there it wasn’t too bad and Bruno was fucking magic, but I was honestly expecting better craic tbh. As others have mentioned, the likes of Fender, Nail, Knopfler would have lifted the entertainment to another level. Brian Johnson would have been my preferred choice tbh. It was a bit cheesy, a bit 'local' but the players bought into it, massive turnout, entire city united around the football club. Looks like the stream had 40k watching as well from around the world.. lots of people impressed with the turnout and so on.
