Was this a 3rd choice kit? If so @TimDodd75 can you show me the 2nd choice kit please?…

I could be wrong but was it this one?

when I went to search online, the only results for video highlights were these 2 shirts? I think this away one was maybe 95/6?!?IMG_4292.thumb.jpeg.d83a1efe72a014f68a3f88e17dd60a8e.jpegIMG_4291.jpeg.d37a7874bb276d155247f6fb88d1a2f1.jpeg

I remember him pulling up in his fur coat, and it was snowing. He looked like a rabbit in the headlights. “WTF am I doing here”

I think there are some funny stories about Albert! I’m sure I heard a few stories about him being the joker of the team

I would love to see video frog him on laying in this shirt

No :cuppa:

You are probably right. I’ve looked around, and some site just show the traditional home strip and the denim blue. Other say the blue was a limited edition 3rd kit. I’ll paste a little info I found. But I would love to be corrected. As my memory is not what it used too be. I’m not too sensitive to be pulled up and corrected 🤪

Newcastle United players wore the blue third strip during the 1996-1997 season. Match photos of players wearing this shirt can be found through various sources

    •    News Articles and Kit History Resources:
Articles detailing the history of Newcastle United kits, like those found on the club's official website, may include images of the 1996-97 third kit in action.

It's worth noting that this particular blue away shirt is considered a retro classic and has been relaunched recently.

What a fucking team that was. How the fuck did we not win anything in that era?

“I would love it, just love it” if we had. Most exciting team on their day.

@Alex gave me a match worn Peter Beardsley one of these which he later signed for me. (Pedro, not alex)

Before he got done for calling them lads monkeys like

Given have few matches this was worn in it’s a chance to have been from a mint game too.

It was the second kit mate. The only 3rd I remember from the 90s was a navy blue and green striped thing we wore once

Really appreciate all the video footage and the good-natured banter—brought back some great memories.

I moved to Oz in 2007, and as you’d expect, quality football chat can be hard to come by. Let’s just say the concept of “big clubs” is interpreted a little differently over here. Some think history began in 2003. Others seem to believe it’s measured solely in recent spending.

Of course, not everyone is here for the football. Some prefer to engage in cryptic one-liners, carefully constructed to imply a level of intelligence they’re convinced the rest of us admire. It must be exhausting to carry that burden.

A few seem more interested in the art of veiled snark than the game itself—modern-day philosophers armed with riddles, eager to remind us all how very clever they are. And then, of course, there are the truly enlightened, whose worldviews are shaped by the finest sources the internet has to offer.

Anyway, I digress. To the real Toon fans—here’s to another season of passion, progress, and hopefully a few more top-quality signings to push us even further.

For those who came with good energy, thank you. For those who didn’t—well, I do wish you well. Perhaps one day, you’ll find the audience you’re looking for.

Adios!

Mate…

You’d think living in Oz you’d be used to getting called cunt by all and sundry.

It’s how we welcome newcomers here- ride the brief storm and we’ll love you long time.

You cunt

I’ve got a box full of signed and worn shirts and programs, but the Mrs won’t let me put them up. She won’t even let me put up the Star Wars memorabilia or my little collection of 1980’s BMX’s I’ve rebuilt . House is like a IKEA show home 😂

My lass found Greedo’s head quite stimulating tbh…

Is that the Greedo finger puppet?

I can see that being stimulating for her compared with usual service.
