Alex 37012
They never uttered a fucking peep when Abramovich was laundering Putin’s money through Chelsea. I think the odd one has basically mentioned they were scared of litigation. Which doesn’t really say much for their journalistic integrity but also begs the question as to why they never mention it now either, given how obvious the consequences of turning a blind eye to that and the other oligarchs was at the time. They all fucking went to the World Cup there after he’d already invaded Ukraine and annexed a large part of the country. Louise Taylor wrote a gushing article about Qatar and only admitted afterwards when she got found out that the Qatari government had paid for the trip. And most of all, if you claim to care about human rights abuses in Saudi but only bring it up in relation to NUFC then it’s plain as day what really bothers you. Go and fucking fuck yourselves, you hypocritical cunts Edited 7 hours ago by Alex 18

Brilliant, saw another pic of a fan leaving the stadium at the very end when everyone had left just looking back at it all with tears in his eyes, very emotional and poignant. Fantastic. Bless him.

Renton 23996
I'm a fairly regular match goer and not once seen a fan in a tea towel etc. It must have happened very occasionally because there are photos, but its definitely not a remotely common thing (must be <0.01%). Also I'd say there's not been a greater feeling of local pride since the Keegan days. If this is what Sports washing is, I'm not losing any sleep over it.

PaddockLad 19154
Sports washing is working because no one is talking about Kashoggis murder any more according to Delaney. No fucker was talking about it two weeks after it happened in 2018. They talked about it a lot when Saudi Arabia bought NUFC three years later. Then they didn’t. Again. Was anyone on this board unaware that Saudi Arabia is a repulsive evil theocracy without even the most basic human rights in 2018 or in 2021? We’ve bought their oil since WW2 sold them arms so they could fight Iran in their 1500 year old Sunni v Shia war and the UK government of the day facilitated the sale of NUFC to them. Am not sure what power we held as a fanbase in the face of all that. It doesn’t sit well with me, I still contribute a pittance to unicef and TEAR fund for the victims of the war in Yemen. @Howmanheyman just listened to that pod you mentioned earlier, Alison Rudd is the type of person @Alex was talking about when it comes to hypocrites. They haven’t ruined anything for me and they’re the only people who think Saudi ownership tarnishes in any way what happened on Sunday 5
ewerk 33401
I really wanted to enjoy Sunday but the tens of thousands of Saudi flags our fans brought ruined it for me.

Christmas Tree 5166
Have been involved in very deep and meaningful thoughts about how I would feel post winning and I have landed on this. Champions league - was first play with boobs Winning a cup - sticky finger Winning the league - Bye bye cherry. There’s work still to do and lots to look forward too but I’m currently walking around full of pride with that unwashed finger. 3

PaddockLad 19154
Link to The Times pod mentioned earlier. If you can stomach Rudd’s intervention Martin Hardy is fuckin glorious, him and Caulkin strike me as proper Mags (scenty bottle East Stand division obvs ) Hardy tears this season’s LFC a new one, he basically says they’re a one man team and they were fucked because we didn’t let them get the ball to him https://www.thetimes.com/podcasts/the-game Edited 5 hours ago by PaddockLad
trophyshy 7387
Watched the VR stuff last night, it is absolute class, if you don't have a kit then find a way to see it. The goals, the trophy lift (you are right there in front of Bruno, Trips, Gordon and can hear their conversations) and the party in the dressing room - all great to see in this format. I must've watched the goals about 30 times each, two of the best goals we have scored this season, absolutely perfect timing. Toying with coming up on the 29th so I can see the bus from half a mile away and pay £25 for parking.

Gemmill 50587
Rudd doesn't even know the basics. She's claiming Howe said he deliberately played a different way in "that amazing 3-3". Sorry like but even just employing the basics of the passage of time, you should know that that 3-3 game wasn't 2 weeks ago. Dickhead.

Craig 6924
The sheer enormity of what we achieved on Sunday is only just starting to land with me. It’s not just WHAT we did, it’s the manner in which we did it to get the monkey off our back that fills me with unmeasurable pride and emotion. - Beat the clubs in the top 4 English places. - Played the runaway league leaders in the final. - Ended this 70 year / 56 year hex. - Very much put to bed the argument that NUFC don’t turn up to finals. - Did it without Gordon, Botman & Hall. Any mitigation contrary fuckers could use to diminish what was achieved, we have an answer for. We didn’t win this through circumstance; we won it because we deserved it. It might sound trite to say so but I think it is a natural thing to think back to those you’ve lost at times like this. When I was stood there at Wembley on Sunday watching my club running round the pitch like I’ve enviously witnesses dozens and dozens of other clubs do so in the 40 years I’ve supported this club made me think of my Grandad who I lost in 1991, my Nan who I lost in 1996 and my Mam who I lost in 1997. All of them were forever willing NUFC to win something to put a smile on my face. So yeah, when that finally happened I looked up, pointed up and quietly said “we’ve done it at last!” This fucking club, man. It’s a privilege and a curse wrapped together to support it, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Meenzer 16514
Aye, my first thought afterwards (and during) was of my uncle in Sweden, who was as big a fan as almost any of us. Back in the days before satellite/cable TV, he used to crack open a couple of Brown Ales purchased at no small cost from the government-owned liquor store and "watch" our matches on Swedish TV's teletext. He was very good at English swearing and he'd have no doubt texted me saying he was "over the fucking moon" or something. Not least with a Swede scoring the winner and having such a brilliant couple of seasons for us. Time's a bastard, isn't it.

Howmanheyman 36804
Just watching it back now, the entire match coverage on ITVx for the first time since Sunday. Marvelous and kudos to Carragher talking throughout the Burn goal at HT not mentioning at all what a fucking superb header it was even if there was nobody at all marking him.
