I still can’t believe that it was 95 minutes of pure perfection and if Bruno hadn’t tried to do something spectacular we would have had a clean sheet. But even then we were solid in seeing the game out.

There's a bit in Caulkins piece about someone on a flight down to LHR and a group of lasses singing and making a racket drumming on their luggage which tuned out to be Bruno's Mrs and family and I'm guessing Big Joe's Mrs etc.

They're both fit as owt and seem like mint lasses too. Absolute bastards. Not to mention Tonali's fucking smokeshow of a lass.

Congratulations guys and gals

well deserved

football isn't just about winning, it's a bout the joy of going to the game with friends and family but bloody hell, on days like that the winning doesn't half make up for the pain of losing

hope you all enjoyed every single second of it.

i was driving from manchester to london with my daughter after going home for the brighton game. had it on in the car. i'm absolutely made up for big dan burn. always liked the lad. a monster of player but seems like a diamond geezer.

the fact it was liverpool makes it all the sweeter.  hmm did you knock us out? did we lose to the winners? i'd take that too.

made up for you all.

it was never in doubt, was it? i thought if even if we won there would be anxious moments in the game where liverpool would put us under pressure but they didn't lay a glove on us. a lot like our performance at anfield a few games ago. how nice not to be the team that fails to turn up for a final for once!

even after bruno's mistake gifted them that goal i never felt overly worried and i loved how we ran the clock down in the corners. it would be good to see more game management like that.

I was slightly surprised with Slot.  He was very dignified and wouldn't have any excuses.  I am sure the PSG game had a big impact especially losing 'Trent' but he wasn't allowing excuses and gave us plenty of praise.

If that had been horse heed.................

I like Slot a lot, respectful, honest and direct and not a head full of fake hair and teeth.

No that was last year. This year we beat the premier league number 1, number 2 (x2), number 3, and number 4. You're number 5 so didn't qualify. :D

BDB must have nudged himself into the lead for POTY. Isak still in with a shout as was/is Lewis Hall.

It's a fairy story but Isak has established himself amongst the top 5 players in the World imo. Been incredibly consistent and will fire us into the CL. :nufc:

Honourable mention to Tonali too, turned out to be shear class.

moving him to DM was transformative. Unleashed his beast-like qualities and allowed Bruno to play further up the pitch where he can influence the game more. Another Howe masterstroke

Was there a game on or something yesterday? :scratchchin::lol:

Felt truly blessed to be there, even if it was with the corporate stiffs, most of which were Liverpool fans. Brilliant atmosphere and to be able to say I was the day we finally brought a trophy home is worth more than anything.

Crazy moment on the station platform waiting to get the train back. Turned around and there’s Amanda and Merhdad stood next to me with their kids, just blending in with the rest of us.

What an absolutely amazing day. Supporting this club is mental, I wouldn’t change it for anything. The first trophy is in the bag, we’ve got the monkey off our back, let the rest roll in.

:nufc:

Haven't listened to it for ages, but, on a day when I am consuming anything available, Pod on the Tyne is worth a listen today. A good story of the day type podcast. Caulkin already bawling in the press box at half time, the fanny.

Listening to Nicky Campbell on R5 now. It's a complete Magedia lovefest. Campbell has just pissed off for a cuppa and handed it over to the fans to say how great it is. :D
