One of the class things about yesterday was that neither of our goals had "VAR are just checking something here" interventions.

They were both just proper undeniable, that's a goal moments where you could just celebrate it all in that moment.

That's canny rare these days. There's usually something they want to check.

Richards' glasses.

He's come as Doc Brown.

I love a bit of Richards hyperbole and he reckons on his pod with Lineker that Dan Burn's was the best centre half performance he's ever seen.

1.6 million views for the Extended Highlights on youtube. Pretty sure I account for about 400,000 of those today.

We're going to win again tomorrow, I'm quite confident of it.

Like Fist said. Howe was ice yesterday.  He was calm with his subs etc.  He really is so underrated by many because all the sycophants are too busy with 'Pep' and Slot etc.  I thought he brought on little Joe at the right moment.  Barnes was absolutely gassed.  He had given everything and bringing Joe on he had the legs to carry the ball.

If any Liverpool fans on social media give you any shit about the Saudis, remind them of FSG's close links to Trump and how much  FSG has contributed to Trump's presidential runs. It's been millions.

I wouldn't underestimate the impact that yesterday could have on the Saudis redoubling their interest either. The Chairman being there to lift the trophy, they'll want more of that.

I'm not one of these that thinks they've lost interest anyway, but days like that aren't gonna hurt.

Was tough on Longstaff like. Nearly got on then got pulled at the last second!

Aye I really wanted him to be on the pitch at the end. Shame for him, but he still looked like he was enjoying the celebrations.

Said exactly the same to a mate.  They'll love that.  Especially how the players handed him the trophy to lift.

7:45 in for the interview with bruno had me in tears (again) just now.

fair play to slott too, dignified in defeat unlike a lot of his peers

I was slightly surprised with Slot.  He was very dignified and wouldn't have any excuses.  I am sure the PSG game had a big impact especially losing 'Trent' but he wasn't allowing excuses and gave us plenty of praise.

If that had been horse heed.................

i think it's time we start calling him sir eddie.

they've been bottling up this performance. it was no surprise our form dropped off after the arsenal second leg. they knew this was the game that mattered and they bloody did it. a tactical masterclass from howe.

i genuinely think we'll go on a run now and get CL now the cup distraction is out of the way and the curse has lifted.

Just watching some of the scenes on YouTube from Covent Garden. Have you had a wander down?

ended up at covent garden last night until about 11pm. the atmosphere was euphoric. strangers hugging each other on the street. drums, megaphones, people climbing on top of phone boxes etc to start chants. more vibey than notting hill carnival. we left about 11pm then went back to a mate's for a greasy pizza and more beers while rewatching the match. perfection

Bruno was mint in that interview. I wanted them to stop asking him questions cos he was so emotional, but he completely gets it - saying that people have lived entire lives and not seen the club win a trophy. That's a bloke that's properly sat and thought about what this means. Great bloke. I hope he never leaves.

nice touch how he shared the trophy lift with trippier and lascelles too. he didn't need to do that. he was entitled to lift it - a class act and also says everything about the harmony in the group. these players play for each other and the manager.

There's a bit in Caulkins piece about someone on a flight down to LHR and a group of lasses singing and making a racket drumming on their luggage which tuned out to be Bruno's Mrs and family and I'm guessing Big Joe's Mrs etc.
