Dr Gloom 23385
That was one of the worst performances of the season. So lacklustre. Got to wonder what the team talk was before kick off as there no discernible game plan. Tripper and Hall both v poor. Midfield, the area I thought we might have some joy, completely absent

aimaad22 4583
And Fulham are 3 points behind us now This was the game we were supposed to have a real chance at once at their ground. I get what many of you are saying. City spent in January and we couldn't. The main reason we are stagnant is PSR, there's no debating that. But I think there also other things to be considered. They played a grueling game mid week against the champions of Europe. They also have many more injuries than us whereas we had a full weeks rest after playing a league one side. They are not as good right now as we made them look tonight and we can be so much better. We just didn't turn up today and that's so disappointing. Second to every ball, couldn't string two passes together, individual errors, no press, just nothing. When we're good we're fantastic and other times we look like a lower mid table team. You don't know which NUFC will turn up. For me the squad is not good enough for CL and we'll have overachieved again if we get it. 3 dismal defeats in 4 league games and two fixtures coming up that on current form we don't win Anfield will likely be another tonking anyway. Some of the mentality needs to be questioned, far too many times this season we just haven't turned up.

Gemmill 49252
They're 10 years ahead of us in terms of development man. That's it. We were shit, but we absolutely can expect to be getting swept aside by a squad and a team like theirs for a while to come. Anyone who thinks we should be turning up and matching them blow for blow is kidding themselves.

IIt’s no disgrace to lose to them for the reasons you mention but the manner of the defeat was concerning. You still need to do the basics. There was no fight to win second balls all game. You can have an off game where multiple players don’t hit their levels but I saw a worrying lack of desire today which is hard to explain. Trippier and Willock both had a chance to impress and stake a claim for a cup final spot. Both failed the audition miserably.

BobHopeandNoHope 676
Apart from the Arsenal 2nd leg, and Southampton away (who are utter crap), we’ve been shit at the back since Wolves at home, and were even shaky as fuck then. Aye we can write today off as we have as much joy there as we do at Wembley!! But letting Gundogan run the show isn’t good enough, and getting done time and again by a long ball from their keeper ffs, so we better wake the fuck up or our confidence, players and supporters, is gonna be lower than a rattlesnakes belly come the final. Aye I’ll keep the faith as always, but fuck me we’re better than that shit we showed today!

I don’t know if it’s an attitude or tactics thing. Today felt like the former which made it all the more disappointing. Much harder to take than the Fulham defeat where I think Howe was just our coached in the second half. Really hope we don’t fail to turn up for a fourth consecutive Wembley final in a few weeks. Again, there’s no shame losing to Liverpool but please don’t put in another no show
