As funny as that is it's not even a choke, they just got beaten by a better team twice. (+1 more in the league too).

That was his/their third semi final defeat since 2001.

Trips what a fucking game, you've looked a shadow of yourself for a bit now but you've made us cunts eat humble pie.

As for who we face in the final, who cares. If the club wants to move forward and be bigger and better, they have beat whoever they are facing. The whole Liverpool hoodoo thing needs to be knocked on the head dead and just beat what's in front of you.

50 odd year old bloke, that. Club shop trolley dash winner every time he leaves the house. What a knob.

He absolutely has Arsenal curtains and a duvet cover

Not sure if anyone has posted this but keep the good times rolling Bruno showing the love for Eddie, Isak, everyone and Eddie talking openly about life and his love for supporters in Australia no matter their gender identity.

Has Botman fucked his knee again?

Let’s recall Lloyd…

Eddie did actually say that it was something to do with his knee but that he didn't yet know anything more about it. It didn't sound like he was super concerned. Also Joelinton will be out for a few weeks with his knee problem.

Joelinton will be a miss but this is Willocks chance now to impress in training then take that into matches.

It must be the ball. It must be the ball. MIKEL ARTETA. It must be the ball.

What. A. Night.

Best atmosphere I’ve seen at SJP since we turned arsenal over at the end of the season a couple of years back. The crowd were massively up for it. What nerves?

I wasn’t sure about the switch to five at the back but my god it was another Eddie masterclass. Arsenal created a single chance of note all game, we smothered them throughout and looked deadly on the break. It should have been more! Trippier and Botman both immense.

Two cup finals and a champions league in three seasons despite all the shite put in our way to stop us. Take a bow Eddie

Only just saw this - things like this make you love the club and these players even more.

On the fourteenth anniversary of his late father's strike here in the 4-4 draw with Arsenal, Rafael Tiote - son of Cheick - was among the Newcastle mascots, walking out with Bruno Guimaraes.

Or a chance for Miley though Howe's not going to want to disrupt the roles Bruno and Tonali are performing so well in, so you're probably right.

Have to sing the praise of Botman, Burn and Schär in particular. They were everywhere which is no small task with the man marking system employed, and yet they were never caught out of position. Even for Arsenal's best chance of the game (the one the pundits and everyone won't stop talking about) Burn's tackle got the ball (though I'll admit it was still a foul) and the scrambling Schär took the angle away and put enough pressure on Odegaard that he missed the shot.

Absolutely wrecked this morning but thought we were outstanding to a man. When Isak and Gordon are playing like that, there’s not a defence in the world that can live with them tbh. Burn and Botman were unbelievably good at defending their stupid fucking corners and Burn, especially, in the first half an hour was first to everything that went near him. Just an outstanding performance orchestrated by the best possible manager for Newcastle United. Now to go one further

Full credit to the atmosphere as well. First time in a while that I’ve felt it have a real tangible effect on the opposition (wasn’t at PSG). Some of their players visibly wilted and after our second, you could see Rice looking about in somewhat disbelief. The fucking Lino down the east stand had to have been a competition winner though. Combine with that soft cunt Hooper and you had an Arsenal team who felt they could petulantly foul and get away with it

What great customer service, after initially telling me to fuck off, managed to get a full refund.

@Renton They did say more tickets will be getting released soon.

Cheers, it's a right fuck on, I think our plan is to stay at relatives in York and travel from there. Only likely to get 2 tickets so most likely Mrs Rents will be going and I'll be childminding. Might even miss it on the box because one of my kids is in an ice dancing competition that day (unless they rearrange). I'm sanguine, honestly don't think I can take the stress right now. Anyhow, I'll do the FA cup instead. ;)

That tackle from Rice on Bruno late in the game that wasn't given as a yellow has to be one of the most ridiculous non-yellows of the year. The ref must have felt sorry for him.
