it's been apparent for a while that RW is the weakest area of the squad. CF is also an area of concern now that wilson looks finished. 

 

we have quality in depth at CB that we lack in those forward areas. 

 

you're right that murphy retains the shirt if or when we sign a new RW. for how long depends on his form and the quality of the new signing. eddie does like to bed players in to his style of play and to get them up to the fitness levels required, but some get up to speed quicker than others. isak, for example, pretty much went straight into the side.

Massive blow Barnes being out tbh. It's been fine when we've been flying out the blocks but there were times early season where we were down or level and he dragged us to a result. Joelinton and Willock can cover there but it's a huge goal there missing if we need a goal.
