Just woke up.

Sounds like a decent performance.

Onwards we go.

Away to Brum shouldn’t give us too many problems.

Villa v Tottenham

Manure v Leicester

Brighton v Chelsea.

All potential to dump our competition out. 👍

i was driving back from a weekend away so had to listen on the radio. sounds like a fairly routine win after their early goal.

the radio commentator kept saying isak is injured but i can't find anything online to support this wild claim. anything in it?

Diego Dalot

im not sure how he is offensive to the normal man.

Persistent fouler with sly digs and coward tackles

I think he's just been fully rested.

Poor opposition but I thought Targett was good. Unlucky he got two bad injuries for us one at the start of the 22/23 season when he was playing well then Burn took over, then again last season at Man Utd just as all the injuries were building up and he'd have likely got a run.

Typical cup game where in times past we would have made a right fuck up of, but job done.
Biggest thing for me, is how uninspiring Barnes is. Unless he can score that top right corner curler from the left side of the box, he offers SFA.

This.

He just seems to disappear from games, you’ll see him pick it up LW but otherwise he seems invisible, never notice him tracking back or involved deeper on the pitch etc. unlike Gordon or even Miggy who are all over.

Bit rusty at the start but after that a professional performance. Great to see Osula get his first goal, and one for Miley too. And plenty of first XI players got a rest.

I remember us getting spanked at home by Birmingham in the cup, in (checks) 2007. Revenge for that please - but will need to play a stronger side!

The way some of you can’t accept a blonde scouser is 10x better than a player who hasn’t played for us in 18 months. Goddamn your feelings have been hurt. #rentfree

Thought we were shocking first half and, if Barnes isn’t injured, he’d have no excuses about being taken off as he was fucking shit. Likewise for Longstaff and Almiron. I know they’re in and out if the team and confidence is probably low but Longstaff was receiving simple balls to feet and his touch was fucking shocking. I don’t think we would have needed Gordon and co to win it but it was nice to have the option. Made up for Osula to get his first goal since he’s worked his socks off since he got here

It's because you're a joke. Every mention of ASM is laughing at the joke.

How are Arsenal getting away with white numbers on white shirts?

They've singlehandedly stopped knife crime with those shirts.

Ironically, the urge to stab them has increased ten fold since they appointed Lego head.

Nah, isn't because they've all choked out when having a stangle wank like fam? Blud? Ty does in his Arsenal club shop gimp suit.

I thought it was really telling how much composure in possession Miley has compared to Longstaff. I know people probably thought that anyway but when you factor in Miley’s age and how little football he’s had because of the injury. Not just the goal but how calm he is on the ball. I’m not a Longstaff hater by any means but, a bit like Almiron, you know he’s not really good enough for where we want to be. Miley could well be though. I have to say I agree about Barnes too. I said during the first half he doesn’t even stick out against that opposition. I don’t think they’d think twice about selling him. Spot on about Osula too.

Aye agreed with all of that. Miley has that extra bit of quality about him, brilliant technique for the goal too, had no idea he he had that in his locker. Osula is very raw but clearly has something about him and seems like a hard worker, if anyone can help him develop into a great player it's Howe.

Barnes has scored some crucial goals for us, he's looked dangerous at times and been an excellent option off the bench even though he's not the complete player an Eddie Howe starter would be. I thought he'd be an excellent rotation/impact player for us when we have European fixtures etc. He's just looked really off recently though, he's a lot better than he showed yesterday. Wonder if that's something the coaching staff can help him turn around or if the club will be looking to offload him if there's a decent offer.

THIS IS NOT CRITICISM OF MILEY.

Only thing I find strange about him is that he seems so laid back and chill, almost as if he could be checking his what’s apps while playing.

Not sure he is like anyone else we have so not sure what he’s going to develop into.

So gifted for his age.
