i know we're competing for champions league places, but i'd prefer you lot win this one. primarily because it hurts arsenals title bid.

it's a tricky quandary. i hate liverpool. i hate their fans a lot more than i hate the club mind. i don't like arsenal but i really can't stand arteta. slott i don't mind (yet).

it would be quite funny re klopps reputation if slott won the league with basically the same squad.

it would be quite funny to see arteta continue on his meltdown.

so my hopes are with you guys for this one. and city will just have to make up the ground another day. if we have it in us this season.

ideally you'll win it with something really controversial too

This is still valid to some extent. Arsenal are that fragile that us beating them in the cup might well torpedo their league campaign.

That Bairn of theirs who is apparently the next Henry / Bergkamp <insert my jurno sycophantic wanking reference > is out for a few weeks now.

Theo Walcott?

I see Sky's buildup to the game involves peddling Isak for sale again on their website.

Honestly hope if and when the time comes we only sell him abroad so these pricks can continue to enjoy Havertz and Nunez for their darling clubs.

I thought we had Schar back for this one, was his ban more than 1 game?

He’s banned in cup for 2 yellows, separate ban to league one, league and cup cards/bans don’t cross over competitions.

Surprised, Willock doesn’t inspire confidence if he has to work defensively. But, in Eddie we trust.

He's going for a balanced side, makes sense to me. Tonali and Joe will put in the defensive shift. You need a bit of creativity in the middle in the absence of Bruno if we want to get something from the game.

I would have played Miley. He’s the closest we have to Bruno to in terms of creativity on the ball. That midfield doesn’t lack industry or legs but not sure it’s balanced

I get that, but it’s a bit more attacking than I thought he’d go for is all.

Well somebody learns from his mistakes. Very proud of you.

Fingers crossed Botman and Isak come through this unscathed. I was sure we'd see Kelly start.

No injuries and a draw or a competitive result we can take to SJP would do me. Then play the bench on Saturday.
