Man Utd vs Newcastle United

Man United have not been relevant in a long time and that will continue to put a smile on my face. I think most of their fans when Ratcliffe got involved felt that their fortunes would turn around quickly and even more so when they got Amorim. Granted, neither one has had that long of a time to really make a mark yet, so fuck knows what will happen in the future.  However, their is clearly from my perspective, a lot of turmoil happening on and off the pitch and we need to capitalize on that and get these 3 points. I think we will.

Amorim is a good coach, but Ratcliffe has brought him in at a time where he's on a hiding to nothing. They should have binned Ten Haag at the end of last season.

He gets his squad back from the international break and has a game every three days from then on. You can't impart new ideas or strategies when your training work is all about keeping match fitness up for the next game around the corner.

At this point all he can do is rely on individual moments of brilliance which is all ETH every did and they've not got their most reliable provider of those for the match against us because Fernandes is banned.

Ratcliffe is proving to be a fucking joke of an owner/chairman/whatever he actually is. An absolute skinflint with no understanding of how to handle the optics of being a big football club or any idea how to turn the ship around.

Short changing his lowest paid staff constantly, disrespecting the clubs history all whilst pissing away millions on players chosen by a manager he doesn't want, only to fire the bloke and replace him at the worst time of the season to do it.

He's Mike Ashley on Ozempic, trying to "businessman" his way out of a hole.

Amorim looks like a massive mistake to me. A world class manager needs to adapt to the players he has and he won’t do that. The squad he has inherited is far from what he needs and he won’t have the resources to overhaul it.

When Howe first came to us he wasn’t playing the sort of football we are now but after a few weeks he implemented tactics that got us winning then we saw the big changes after a full pre-season. Amorim is too arrogant to that and whether he survives the rest of the season remains to be seen.

Aye. He needs to get points on the board then build his philosophy from there.  He’ll get sacked before he gets a chance to implement his ideas at this rate.

I saw a YouTube video from one of their non-manc fans and to be fair the lad, he didn't seem a bullshitter, gave us the respect of calling us by our actual fucking name and reeled off the reasons why he thinks they've zero chance of getting a result which we all acknowledge ourselves but are too scarred by defeats here in the past and too superstitious to openly go for it.

Head says we beat these but we also know they'll be under big pressure themselves for a result. If we get the first goal they could well collapse like a pack of cards, (Joe Harvey ©) we twat them and it's a case of what were you worried about or it's not as simple as that which life seldom is. Let's just hope we get the first fucking goal.

I can’t remember the last time I was this confident ahead of a trip to Old Trafford.

We all know what happens when we’re confident about getting a result

FFS

2 - 0 to them

If this club is ever going to achieve anything, there has to be a moment when we start winning games like this. And by 'games like this' I mean situations where we are the better team but can't climb the psychological mountain that is required to beat a team like Man Utd when we need to. The ability to visualise ourselves as 'better'. As winners. The club has, IMO, always struggled with this in the entire time I've known it. One day we have to shake that off, we have to leap into the game confident that we are better, that we are deserving, and that we will win.

I don't know if tomorrow is the day we do that, but it is an opportunity.

Aye. New Wolves boss, 7 points from his first 3 games. Howe clearly making a difference to us, because he had no other choice.

Amorim though is returning relegation form results. They're not a great squad, but they're not that bad.

The FA will surely change the.rules if these fuckers got close to relegation. 😂

I'm at a friend's house tonight who is a 'Yewnited' fan. Him and all his brothers are. Have absolutely fuck all connection to the place other than they grew up in the 90s I.e Glory seeking fuckers. He's a top lad though. His daughter has just started playing football and for Christmas they got hey a a shirt. I told her I needed some rags for cleaning my bike 😂

We should spank these, should, but I have fuck all confidence going to that place with its twisted voodoo shit.

We should batter these tonight really. They've been getting by on moments of individual brilliance, and two of the main sources of that (Rashford and Fernandes) won't be playing, unless he shits himself and brings Rashford back.

Let's see what happens, but if nothing else it's a very different feeling going to their place these days, than it has been for the last 30 years.

The only way we lose this game is if the players’ minds aren’t right, or if we get done by a dodgy decision. Look at their current 11 and compare it to ours. How many of their players get in our side? Amad Diallo instead of Murphy, maybe?

It would be hilarious if they sacked this guy

We’re favourites tonight and that never, ever suits us regardless of owners, managers or players…but @Rayvin is right and it applies to Saturday as well… this is our chance to show we are better than the failing Man Utd or the frankly bizarre club that is Tottenham Hotspur.. we can show we belong in the elite with MCFC, LFC, CFC and AFC… Forest are a fuckin joy this season and our three points there and putting them out of the League Cup now look really solid results but it’s unlikely they’ll maintain this form unless they break PSR next month. It really is on these next two games as to what might happen in the rest of the season. Pivotal.
