It's silly here and common sense should have prevailed. Said this before but it’s ludicrous that officials have to decide whether or not something is deemed to be handball based in part on what happens afterwards

Optimistic Nut 205 Posted Thursday at 19:01 Share Posted Thursday at 19:01 Should the Bruno goal not have been allowed because it was technically an own goal? Not even sure VAR checked that bit?

Dazzler 10457 Posted Thursday at 21:40 Author Share Posted Thursday at 21:40 Has anyone established why Bruno seemingly snubbed the fuck out of Howe at full time? I can’t tell if Bruno didn’t realise who had grabbed hold of him and was laser focused on whoever he was going to talk to and it looked worse than it was. Seemingly they were fine by the time the photo was taken.
Ayatollah Hermione 14094 Posted Thursday at 22:08 Share Posted Thursday at 22:08 Outstanding day out at the football. Thought we were far better when they had 11 and they can have no complaints. Especially not about that sending off. Had a feeling that Duran would lash out in some way since he was getting fuck all off Schar but didn’t expect it so quickly. Tonali, Hall and Joelinton all world class today for me.

Andrew 4881 Posted Thursday at 23:28 Share Posted Thursday at 23:28 I fucking love how Joelinton will fight absolutely anyone that fouls one of our team. He was after Duran immediately today

OTF 7580 Posted yesterday at 03:50 Share Posted yesterday at 03:50 Villa forum is utterly hilarious! This ref is pathetic giving them everything and letting them do what they like. This is how things can get out of hand. Which leads to things like that red. Ref has created this. .... That’s not a red .... how could that be deemed intentional .... That's a ridiculous decision . He was off balance , he's got to put his foot somewhere .... This fucker of a ref is an absolute disgrace. Where the fuck was he supposed to put his foot? .... Not a red for me. .... Never ever a red. .... No way that was deliberate. Game ruined by another shit ref decision. .... So joelinton going elbow first into the back of Cash isn't a foul. .... Are this commentary team Noocastle season ticket holders? .... It was obviously accidental. Taylor has just decided Newcastle will win the game. Woeful decision .... So he's been sent off for moving his foot to somewhere "near" the player's head according to Clattenburg. Which shows intent apparently. I'd have said it showed intent to NOT kick hi in the head. This is a fucking joke. .... You can see his standing leg slip from under him a little immediately before the "stamp". I think he's been really harshly done by there. .... Isak walks all over Konsa but that's only accidental according to these tossers on commentary. .... I don't think it's a red. What's he supposed to do, levitate over Schar till he's a safe distance away? .... Re: Joelinton where the replay showed no contact anywhere near the head and a massive flop from their player: That’s more violent intent than Duran’s was. Neither a red .... Joelinton gets a yellow for a flailing arm that 8 out of 10 times would be red. .... Honestly, they are the fucking dirtiest team in this division by a mile. But always, always get away with it. .... We where the better team before the red card - that is the takeaway. .... And their whining just goes on and on as the game progresses. To be fair there were a few of them, presumably with eyes, that acknowledged that it was a clear red and that the ref had got most things right but they were but a drop in the ocean filled with their bitter tears.

aimaad22 4240 Posted yesterday at 07:27 Share Posted yesterday at 07:27 Been travelling so haven't really watched the full games recently, so of course we start playing well and go on a run. Fantastic to see the old energy and drive back alongside the goals. Looks like Tonali has been instrumental, as has Murphy. Two positions that have been problematic. Pretty tight between 5th and 10th right now. You'd expect that gap to increase in the coming weeks, hopefully we can maintain the consistency. Fact is we have the players to best most premier league teams when on form. Tonali fast looking like another top player to add to the handful we've got already.

toonotl 3125 Posted yesterday at 07:44 Share Posted yesterday at 07:44 Great result. Another great performance. Really building some nice momentum now. It's difficult to pick a player of the game. We had a lot of excellent performances. Never looked troubled by them. Even before the red card. Loved Emery's post-match press conference, too. Mad Dog has done the poor muppet over. Howe has him sussed tactically. Duran's red is clear violent conduct. One, two, three, nil. And all of that has added up to Count Chocula coming into the press room ranting and raving like an escaped loon. Beautiful!

Gemmill 46194 Posted yesterday at 08:00 Share Posted yesterday at 08:00 MOTD reckoned Duran was unlucky cos once he's turned his ankle all bets are off and the only sensible place for him to put his right foot was all up the back of Schar. Obviously horseshit. He looks like he's got a bit of a hair trigger, and I suspect this won't be the last time we see him get in bother.
