welcome to the forum :)

how do you feel about the Lord and saviour Allan SaintMaximin ?

Appreciate it and I would have liked him to stay a bit longer and return my message asking him for a small loan👍

You might have had more luck asking him for some of those shady watches he peddles for his Saudi buddies

I've genuinely no recollection at all of any of those away wins bar the 4-0.

Maybe you just need to be comatose with drink, not just at work. 👍

Sutton prediction on the beeb. We've just put back to back performances that have been pretty solid. But aye we may just beat Ipswich.

Sutton has never really struck me as a pundit who watches very much football. I think half the time he goes purely off results and highlights. I mean he’s not the worst but he’s definitely another one just winging it

I didn't realise Ipswich hadn't yet won at home.

They have managed to draw with Man Utd, Villa and Fulham though, which isn't to be sniffed at for a newly promoted side

Sheffield United away under Bruce, their first win of the season in November or something?

Derby - the year they got the worst (or near to it after the mackems) points haul of any time in prem history - I want to say under Allardyce. We have a knack for having our draws pulled down by the worst teams.

Aye that was Big Sham. They'd just had seven put past them at Pompey I think so he went for four slow central midfielders just in case. Actually it might have been Pompey where he did this where they were beaten seven four by reading or it was reading v Pompey, it all blurs into one blob of shite tbh.

Welcome @Zoidberg - sounds like you've been following us since we were shite so I'm curious what insanity brought you on board. Glad you've joined the community anyway.

As for Ipswich, I think we're going to struggle here since that's been the pattern of our season so far. Honestly we should win this 2 or 3-0 but performances this season suggest it'll be more like 2-1 at best.

£16 for two pints in the pub outside Ipswich station  😑

When I worked down there, we played them on a weekend (so I was up home) but on the Monday the tale going round the office was that in one of the bars a lad ordered 9 pints of lager and passed them out as they were served, when the barmaid pulled the last pint the lad had dissappeared into a sea of black and white and she was clueless who it was (probably TBD).

This is the sort of game we should be winning but have dropped points in all season. I hope we play like we did against Brentford and not how we did against Bournemouth. If we do, we win comfortably.

One of the times I stayed near Ipswich for a couple of days for an evening match the day after a bank holiday it was a little town called Manningtree, they were as bemused by us as we were by them but it was a good laugh. One of the locals was called 'piggy' and his son, also called 'piggy' had a season ticket at Ipswich.
