The fact is, Leicester were absolutely fucking shite. That doesn’t in any way detract from our performance. We were brilliant, 4-0 massively flattered them but a significant factor was just how bad Leicester were.

Fair enough. I was there today and just think we played brilliantly start to finish. Leicester didn't set out to look poor, in actual fact their fans were in good fettle. They weren't a bad team. We just clicked and blew them away. 

Mackems often portray our successes due to our opponents weaknesses. Today we fucked Leicester, they couldn't stop us. And I loved it. I think we should give ourselves more credit sometimes.

They were fucking dogshit like. Nothing wrong with stating the obvious. Turns out there are some easy games in the PL.

 

However, we’ve dropped points against teams just as bad this season - Everton spring to mind. Today we took our chances. Missed a fair few as well mind but there was only ever one team in it.

 

I loved our first goal. Sweet move from a corner right off the training ground.

 

Tonali was a beast. He has to keep his place at DM. Gordon was back to his scintillating best. Hall was class, yet again. And I was impressed by Osula’s cameo. He should get more minutes off the bench. We’re going to need him now Wilson is crocked.

And that's the thing, we haven't been beating the shite we should be turning over. Better effort all round, Tonali should be starting 11 when fit and when Gordon puts in that effort, there isn't a better LW in the league.

The local Newcastle also won 4-0 today and they couldn't buy a goal before last night either, must be a Christmas miracle.

I was going to say, try having your weekends spoilt by both Newcastles playing like shite but then I remembered the GLORY!

Bet it makes you wish you really did live in Hobbiton.

Their whole central midfield was out and had to play 4th and 5th choices. I think that massively impacted them. They’ll be a different team with the core back.

 

im not sure why Coady started instead of Faes and that LB was absolutely dreadful as well.

that said we played well, it could've easily been 7. would've loved to have seen murphy get a hat-trick because my mate thinks he shouldn't be anywhere near the team, probably even the club. daft fucker got more wound up with the opportunities he missed yesterday than happy for the goals he scored. he did produce a moment of magic in block s of the gallowgate when amongst the groans at isak's missed one on one with their keeper, he stood up and started chanting... 'shite jacob murphy, youre just a shite jacob murphy,"   :lol:

on isak.... missed chance aside, I thought he was superb, close control of the ball at times was incredible, more like the isak we saw dance around the entire everton team, which has been largely missing this season.

top game also by gordon, shame he didn't get the goal he deserved, I can't imagine for one second his performance won't get a doff of the hat by every single contributor on here. 

pleased for bruno, whether or not he should've still been on the pitch is another matter mind, me and me mate both thought he was gone.

a lot was made last season of how pope's absence adversely affected our entire defence and how dubravka was shite. well, I think pope has been a liability this season, I'm happy to see dubravka take his opportunity and really hope he does well, leicester didn't give him a great deal to do yesterday but there was several occasions where he was required to play the ball with his feet, he did so without giving me fucking palpitations, I for one thank him for that 

all in all, a canny day out.  :)

If Coady wasn’t a Liverpool academy graduate he’d have been nowhere near England squads etc.
