I really hope he fucks off to the Saudi league but they make it on the proviso that they loan him to us for a season or two first.

He could be blindfolded and on crutches and the cunt could still score a brace most games,

Aye. Salah is okay with me. Plays with a smile on face and is fair. It’s mental he has been nowhere near a ballon d’or.

It sounds like him and Trent will be off in the summer though.

Of course you do Sybil.

You are correct though, we have turned into one of those teams that thinks we are above the dross and only turn up against the big 11, depending on where Man U are on the table at that time.

Funny how it's being called the best game of the season when Amazon were telling us at HT that it was a drab affair purely because their beloved Liverpool were by far second best.

Trent's best mates with Bellingham and is seeing down his contract for a move to Madrid apparently.

Van Dijk and Salah will be past their best in a couple of years and that leaves 2 very big, expensive holes to fill. Especially when they spunked more on Nunez than we did on Isak

It was outrageous his commentary last night. The most glaring example was his full agreement with referee's call on our penalty incident, even going so far as to say "I do like this referee's call concept", followed immediately by him querying just how long it was acceptable to hold someone's shirt before it becomes a foul on the Liverpool one with Diaz, and suddenly not being so sure about referee's call.

His squeal of "OH SO SLICK!" when Salah scored their "go ahead goal" (credit to Toonpack was embarrassing.

It’s the way we’re set up too though. Even though we were well worth the lead at HT (should’ve been more, which ultimately cost us a victory) I think Liverpool had something like 60% possession. Against a side like that sitting in, keeping it tight and looking to hit on the break is very effective. Tonali seemed to be deeper / more central too. He was excellent and gave us a degree of control in there we’ve not had much this season. He’s very clever in tight situations and normally manages to wriggle out of it and retain possession. Instead of just winning a foul. Which Bruno is very clever at doing. And while that takes the pressure out a situation it can kill momentum

He was desperate for theirs to be given / VAR to get involved too (the Burn ‘handball’). Which was never a pen imo.

Even with these decisions, he did better than we have had for a while.

As soon as I see the name Pawson, I know that there will be several clear decisions not given against us and at least 1 player who should have been sent off at least twice.

I also think that, once again, VAR has done us over. I think he was going to blow for the pen (it looked like he was going to blow) then decided to let VAR make the call based on a clearer view which is not acceptable.

So apart from the fact that he dogshit  he was a decent ref? Why? Cos he booked a couple of them?, fuck off man he was utterly inconsistent. Look at the ends of the two halves and you need go no further.

Schar’s finish was class by the way. On his wrong foot, ridiculous angle,  from a lofted, bending 30-40 yard pass.

Aye not many centre halves could have even got their body in that position in time, never mind pulled off the required control.

I mentioned it last night but I really don't understand how we're so bad at using Burn as a weapon from set plays.

He should be like Shaq up there, nodding balls back across goal for others to attack. We almost never even find his head, never mind do something inventive with it.

In the post match interview he admitted he was just trying to keep it in / put it back into the danger area. Which was very honest given it looked like he knew exactly what he was doing / meant it. Although it was a superb bit of technique anyway

I don’t think we’ve got anyone particularly good at taking them. Especially without Trippier playing. Even a Duncan Ferguson or Andy Carroll type would struggle without decent delivery

Agree, said similar in the Bruno thread.

I don't think Barnes helps us in that regard either. He's kind of that one trick wonder, cuts in from the left and puts it in the top right corner but when that option isn't available, he seem bereft of ideas of what to do with the ball, and has no fucking idea how to track back and defend,
