Results against relegation fodder and a 10-man Villa are supposed to make everyone forget the last 18 months? Or the 15 league games before these 3? Did you forgot how bad we we've been playing that quickly? Steady now, steady. If Eddie keeps delivering results, I’m sure the #EddieOut crowd will gladly eat their words. Would be nice if he also signed off on some proper reinforcements in January instead of this “only a few players will improve us” nonsense.

U ok, hun?

Emery's his bitch since that 3-0 down there when it could have been about 7 to them.

Last pre-season in USA about 3 weeks before we played them in the league, Emery played his usual team and system, Howe played a completely different system so not to give anything away.

Newcastle 5-1 Villa

Villa 1-3 Newcastle

Newcastle 3-0 Villa

Forest will capitulate at some point. And with the seasons that the Manchester clubs and Spurs are having. 4th place is very much up for grabs

Forest are there on merit. Don't take it for granted they will capitulate

1. Liverpool

2. Arsenal

3. Chelsea

4. Man City

5. Newcastle

Reckon Forest will end up around 8th which should get Europa Conference as long as our teams keep doing well.

Aye tbf, I don't think there was a lot of clamour for Howe to go on here (though I am sure there were one or two others expressing concern at least).

I'll admit mind, for all I 100% didn't want him to go, I think it was more that I was prepared to accept us coming 7-10th as 'not a big deal' for this season. I think it would be a bit disingenuous for me to claim that I thought we'd be making a CL push this year after all :D

You look at all these fancied foreign coaches the vast majority of whom turn out to be little more than social media propaganda, and realize how lucky we got with Eddie. And also what absolute turnips people that want him out are.

I have little doubt the media would be spelunking all over him if his name was Edie de Howze or something like that. Fools.

I expressed concern, he kept playing people out of position. Funnily enough we look a lot better since he stopped that shit.

I think the majority of people are in the same boat as you.

My take is, if we have the capacity to have a Champions League push, Eddie is the man to make it happen. I also think if we don't make it, then that is due to where we are at.

Is Eddie above criticism? Not at all. Has he made decisions that I/ we disagree with? Certainly.

However, I genuinely cannot name someone that I would swap him with if I was able to. Maybe I am being stupid, I often am.

I know Slott has come in and done very well. I am stating this now: I think Liverpool are outperforming themselves and I don't think that they are going to win the League. It may be Chelsea.

I personally think Liverpool have the league sewn up this year, however I think that is more due to Man City's spectacular decline than it is Liverpool being sensational under Slot. In fact, I thought they looked pretty ordinary when we played them.

I think the form at the start of the season was due to our three main players not doing what they do best - Gordon seemed knackered, Isak was nursing an injury (and Wilson wasn't there to help ease the burden) and Bruno - fuck knows, but he was shite until the last 4 weeks or so.

I do think some of the player selections were odd at times, as are his choice of subs a lot of the time - however, I do think he's improved on that in recent times - maybe he got over his huff with Mitchell and Ant from Bo Selecta and has started to put their suggestions into practice because the last few weeks I think Bruno, Isak and Gordon have been subbed most games when we're on top and all seem to be maintaining fitness and form.

Liverpool are benefitting from Klopp's work and the fact his toxic personality is now away from the club. Let's see how Slot goes once Salah moves to SA for his billion dollar retirement fund and when TAA goes to Real Madrid (and fails), and Slot has to bring in his own players.

Also think Gapko is having his purple patch season and VVD legs have a season or two and/or another ACL rupture until he's off to the glue factory.

I think VVD is already on a rapid decline tbh. He's nothing close to where he was a few seasons ago.

Robertson and TAA as full backs is Angeball level suicide without a world class CB pairing and no 6 - I no longer think they have any of those. If it wasn't for the fact that Man City have shit the bed in the first half of the season I don't think Liverpool would be in the position they are in.

When we played them I thought they were shite despite Clivey boy and his "oh so slick" shite trying to portray it differently. We seemed to be able to get at their defence fairly easily.

Liverpool are not the best team we have played this year.

They are going to be found out then found wanting.

They played a slightly weakened team v us (defensively). They’ll walk the league this year unless they completely collapse. If they win their game in hand they are 10 points clear of Chelsea.

We absolutely dominated Forest, I hope they don't capitulate because I want both Anderson and Wood to do well but I can't see how they can maintain this level of results across an entire season.
