I thought the performance in the first half was already far too half arsed with us only looking ok because West Ham just looking to scrape it. We only showed a bit of intensity early on in the second half but their 2nd killed off any momentum.

I just can’t get why we can’t find the right focus in those games we are expected to turn up with a good performance against weaker teams.

I don’t know to what to even suggest for the RW. I’m out of ideas. Gordon has been honking most of the season. Barnes doesnt seem to step up and take over his LW spot. Joelinton isn’t comfortable at RW. Murphy is bang average and Miggy is surely going this window.

Like it or not, Longstaff is the glue that holds our midfield together, lost all shape when he went off.

That was the switch to 442, not Longstaff. If Longstaff is the answer, we're asking the wrong question. Another dead honest, likeable lad, but we need to be moving on.

Howe went too early with the formation change. We were getting chances and had a decent enough control over the game.

Our aimless right wing was even more painful to watch when you saw Bowen for them. What a cracking player he is and he’d have been absolutely perfect for us. Another thing we have to thank Ashley for is putting the block on that move

I have been much less critical with performances than most on here in recent times but today the mentality of nearly every player was piss poor. I am really pissed off because we wasted another decent chance to get ourselves in a decent position.

We were unlucky against Everton and Brighton but today was just not acceptable.

Up until the Longstaff sub/switch to 442, we were by far the better side but all those chances were wasted. We went to shit after their goal and any momentum was gone. 

 

It happens, just got to hope that we get it out of the system and don't fuck up next game.
