If you look at the bench today you had Tonali, Murphy, Barnes, Almiron, Miley and Osula who could all come on and give you an attacking option or refresh the midfield*. Obvious point to make but that makes such a difference when you’re chasing a game.

*Not saying they’re all top quality

I thought we thoroughly deserved the win. This has been coming. We’re finally converting good performances into results.

Forest are a one-trick pony. Threatening on the break but clueless when we sat back to protect the lead and they were forced to try to break us down.

We dominated both halves. Both clubs are in false positions. Forest will sink to mid table and we should really expect to be challenging for Europe. Hopefully confidence and momentum will start to build now we’ve remembered how to finish chances.

I loved Joelinton’s goal and performance. Thought Willock was unlucky to be subbed too - he was great in the first half.

They are bottom 6  material mate, they will end up there. Think that was possibly our best performance this season.

If we ever get Botman back, Trippier, and *cough* Wilson.....

I missed this one today. I assume Chris Wood and Elliot Anderson both scored hat tricks and Kid Dynamite dropped dead from a heart attack, rest in peace.

Are you sniffing his teenage knickers like?

Anderson's arse dropped after Joelinton bullied the fuck out of him for one tackle early after coming on. Hid the rest of his time on the pitch.

BUT HE'S ONE OF US!!!!

was at forest for the 2-1 isak injury time penalty win a couple of seasons ago, comfortably the best away end I'd been in for many a long year.

I thought we bordered on being either unlucky or wasteful in the 1st half, frustratingly so..

2nd half was fucking immense and I'm deeply envious of all those who were there to witness it, we desperately needed this to carry on the momentum.

bought 2 tickets for the west ham game because I could, queue place allowing, rather than to be honest actually wanting to, getting home at 4am is getting less appealing with every passing year.

I drove there and back for the arsenal game, not my turn for the next fucker.

pissed up night in the percy/sjp in a couple of weeks time....

bring it fucking on man.  :)

Great performance. Great comeback. Terrible refereeing performance. We were never troubled by them apart from the free kick they got from a corner that should've been a goal kick. And that little shit in the midfield should've been sent off for about four yellow card worthy offences.

Nearly 100% correct. The road to glory continues.

I'll be taking a short break to spend some time rattling Josephine for a week or so, but the glorious journey shall march on.

I'm sure Willock knows from the start that he's going to be subbed with 20 to go, it lets him bring an extra level of energy.

Great result, great performance. Really helpful to go into the International Break (yet another one ffs) on a run of 3 impressive wins in 3 very different circumstances.

Lewis Hall is getting better and better, seemingly every match. And I think if Livramento could play behind a similarly effective midfield/winger combo (JW&Big Joe) we might see more from him too? Gordon still doesn't look right and I wonder if he's playing with a knock? Longstaff does so much off the ball for us, but it was good to see him involved in the attacks too.

If I was allowed to, I'd rename both my kids Joelinton. And my wife. Fast becoming one of my favourite NUFC players of all time.

Howe got it spot on and even the in-game changes he made were at the right time. Hopefully if he gets the tactics and performances sorted enough, he can start working a bit harder on set pieces?

Taylor was atrocious, not just the two red cards he didn't show Yates, but throughout the game he was missing fouls, not punishing dangerous play, getting simple things wrong like corner/goal kicks.

I watched it on motd2 this morning and I still felt incredulous after the elbow when the commentator said "VAR have checked and cleared it". They didn't even show the high tackle.

Someone will break that little cunt's leg one day, and part of the blame for it will go to the refs that have allowed him to get away with all manner of bad fouls and playacting throughout his PL career to date.

Mark of Hall's quality is how he was running the show in the first half when we had a lot of posession but struggled to break them down.

You could see the players looking to find him and him having the confidence and quality to receive the ball and play the correct forward pass almost every time.

The best thing for me yesterday was how we believed in our quality even after going a goal down. Kept possession, kept poking away, didn't panic. Having players like Bruno, Isak, Joe, Gordon etc gives you that ability if they have enough belief. Add Lewis Hall to that list.

Also don't forget Livramento. I know his final ball is lacking at the moment, nowhere near Trippier at the moment who on average was in any case miles ahead of most full backs. But his defensive work, energy, ability to keep up with the fastest wingers and make those last ditch tackles is fantastic. Those lung bursting forward runs are fast becoming a key part of the way we play too, creates space. He's different to Hall and at the moment he's missed out on the England call up but if his forward passing improves he's got a higher celieng imo.

One of my new favorite things to look forward to in our games is seeing wingers like Neto and Martinelli who're used to just poking the ball past full backs and running around them try that against Tino and find out very quickly that's not really on today.

Tino has been drafted into the England squad.
