2-0 the spirit of guy fawkes to take a massive shit on their keepers head and to throw sparklers at Chris Wood. Elliot Anderson to get a completely unrelated burn on his cock from Catherine's wheel.

Apparently Forest are happy to give the away team possession/control when they play at home and hit on the break. We have struggled when teams set up against us like this. Could be a game for Bruno and Tonali rather than Longstaff, which would be harsh on Sean who has been brilliant the past couple of games. It’ll be interesting to see if Howe applies a horses-for-courses approach

Howe's comments about Tonali dropping to the bench were more about giving him a rest.  I think Longstaff will drop back to the bench.  It's good to be able to rotate.

Completely agree, Gloomy. Not sure if you're thinking along the same lines, but, for me, it's an example of a match where we could play Tonali at 6 and Bruno at 8. Howe likes 8s with the pace to run in behind, but against a team happy to sit deep, who will let us have possession and challenge us to break them down, runs in behind from deep are less likely to be effective, and, so, I'd like to see Bruno in the 8 position to get our key playmaker further up the pitch.

I'd still like the Willock-Joelinton setup on the left and left-mid to keep things organised. I think Howe has hit on a golden goose there as they dovetail beautifully and seem to have a wonderful understanding of each other's games.

I'd also like to see Kelly start ahead of Burn. Against a team likely to gift us possession and try to counterattack, I feel like pace at the back will be crucial to (a) give everyone confidence to execute the press with the necessary level of aggression to keep them penned in, and (b) the ability to recover when the press doesn't work (and having Tonali at 8 helps there too I think given his extra pace over Bruno).

I think time is running out for Kelly to take Burns place as Botman will be back soon (hopefully).

Burn has barely put a foot wrong all season and I think Howe likes him in the team.

As Meenzer said though, it's a squad game.  Whilst I think Burn has been solid, yes he had a rest v Chelsea in the Carabou but he's played the other games recently.  Yes we have slightly longer between games this week, but starting Kelly over Burn doesn't mean it's because Burn's been wank, it's realising it's a long season and he's a physical player.

If they start MGW and Elanga are pacey and therefore Kelly maybe better suited to this than Burn who has been found wanting a couple of times this season in that department.

agree with all that and i'm inclined to think howe will too, with the exception of burn, who will probably keep his place. it's not like chris wood is going to trouble him for pace, do it might be the right sort of game for BDB

Botman will be back in January so Burn will have a nice 4 months warming the bench. We are down to 1 game a week now and I assume Kelly will get the nod the league cup game(s).

Personally, I like Kelly at LCB and agree he would be better suited to squeeze games when we have to break a team down. He offers pace which both Schar and Burn lack.

I almost forgot.

In a break with tradition, I’m going for a 5-0 for our lads.
First four deflections off Scargill’s weetabix heed, last three OGs from the scabs as they get confused and cross their own picket lines.
