He was at his best, totally. Occupied the right positions and was the perfect supporting midfielder. Even on the ball he passed well and never got caught on it. As much as I've been critical of his individual attributes if he plays like that he deserves a spot in the team.

That was him at his level from two seasons ago. He’s not hit that in a year + but in my view when he plays like that we almost always come away with a result because he takes so much pressure away from the other two midfielders.

Hopefully Howe shows him it back and he can maintain it like because that dirty work player is something we’ve missed.

Just had a look at some of the comments on Howe's starting line up on Twitter. It blows my mind. Sometimes it is probably best for some people not to be able to post on line. You would have thought he had put himself up front. It really confuses me that people like this exist. Where do they live? Do they work? Is this like a keyboard warrior problem or do they behave like this in the real world? Baffling.

I thought Tonali for Sean was harsh on Tonali because he was so good against Chelsea but Howe also has to manage their minutes with three games in a week. Longstaff gets stick on Twitter because he’s not as technical as our other midfielders but the manager got it right. And although Sean has obvious weaknesses in his game, we do tend to win more games than we lose when he plays. Sometimes you have to sacrifice your more talented technical players and choose the right team for the right opposition.

It’s the culture of moaning. For some people it’s always about looking for something they think is wrong. If Howe sticks with players and tactics it’s about him being naive and not having a plan B. So, he changes things and it about it being the wrong plan B…

Bruno's best game in black and white

Lewis Hall is best English left footed LB - (Southgate, Carsley bottled it and play a CB, or RB)

Tonali coming on after 60 mins, secured that win - he dropped into that middle of midfield and his eneregy to chase and press fucked Arsenal's midfield build up. First thing he did, was get the ball and run forward with aggression - that turned the tide from us defending like pussys, to us a new energy to defend that half hour with aggression!

Gordon He can only play RW now. Full backs are scared of him, because he can blast past them to the byline. I love and hate what Pep did to wide players - Pedro, Messi, Etto, Villa, Neymar, Sanchez - but playing wide players on their wrong foot has spunked it's load. Almiron for Murphy - a right footed player is an example - now Gordon!

Big Joe Little Joe Partnership A fit Joe Willock could be massive - when we got 4th, that partnership of the Joes switching inbetween LCM/LW was amazing. They just take turns at pressing and bullying Timber.  A fully fit Willock/Joelinton picks that left side.

Pope Never been the same since that Liverpool game. Injury has fucked him. Would be interesting to know if there has been a change on GK coach. He treats the ball like a handgrenade - corner, FK, cross, or kicking. When we did defend a high line he was good at sprinting and booting the ball as a 3rd CB/Sweeper.  Pope is a third of the player he was even at Burnley - Liverpool got the Georgian Marma for a decent fee, that's what Mitchell was saying our recruit was terrible.

Nice to have the options. This is what a squad is for. Keep them fresh and manage them.

Longstaff is a limited midfielder, Howe has told him instructions - unless there is space, he can't pass. But he will attack that 6yard box run with timing, and track and press, and defend.

Tonali coming on gave us an injection.

He loves to push the narrative that we play shit football whenever we beat them as if we didn’t create the better (only) chances of the game and there were a few

Fucking fraud.

I think Arteta knows he's already lost the title.

Pep doesn't lose leagues when he is infront. Arsenal will come 2nd, Chelsea 3rd. It will be a Pep 1,2,3.

Mourinho is the only one - 11/12 Real Madrid 100 points, Pep 2nd 91.

To beat Pep and Man City, it needs a team to be able to get 90-100 points across 38 games. That's the precident.

You got beat is what you did, you little cunt.

All they had was set pieces to be honest. And that’s all they’ve had this season. They are just a bunch of powerful players and Saka.

Just another reiteration of Klopp’s complaints that opposing sides wouldn’t just roll over and let Liverpool win.

Tbf - he’s right. The sort of game we’re looking for is the one where the opposition has one shot on target. Nice of them to oblige though.
