Speaking of excellent stadiums, I've never been in a European stadium so speaking completely from a TV viewers perspective, but stadiums like the Etihad and Emirates are really meh to me. I dunno if its mostly got to do with the general lack of atmosphere from their fans but surely some has got to do with how the pitch seems far away from the fans, how they put the away fans right in front of goals etc. There's something really generic and artifical about them too. The big Spanish and German stadiums feel so much better to look at, again from a TV screen at least. Spurs' is just slightly better imo and West Ham's absolutely and utterly shite but they probably don't care getting it for free.

If we do move from SJP I really hope they go for something unique that can retain the atmosphere and not these generic olympic type stadiums that seemed to have popped up everywhere.

the spurs stadium looks awesome to me. the massive kop end provides a nice balance to all the corporate seats. i'd like to see us have ends like that behind each goal. get two standing/singing sections going and keep the corporate in the two main grandstands along the length of the pitch

We'll need a designated sedate area for those transferring from the east stand mind.

Nah, we just need high tide and a cliff.

A mate who worked on Evetons ground said it looks mint but then he doesn't really watch football and he's biased as he was lead engineer on it 😂 he's now working on Bellend road 😂

Yeah fair enough.

Actually on a separate note, I read something in the Athletic a little while ago which suggested that City were scoring fewer goals as a team now than they were before they had Haaland. I know that's not a perfect science with all the other variables in play, but is that something that any City fans are saying at all, or just media noise?

It's a weird one as he obviously prolific but he's made us more predictable. You never used to know where the threat was coming from. Now it's obvious.

On the other hand we won the treble in his first season so i can live with that.

Think it's actually down to Pep to try and figure out. Big Erl doesn't really seem a Pep type forward but he'll be there a lot longer than Pep now so maybe we need big Sam next to play the percentages for him (not really).

God help everyone else if Pep figures out how to maximise Haaland.

Haaland is our Shearer. Bleeds blue.

Maybe we should have switched Haaland for a midfielder at 2-0 last night, but we're a bit short in midfield.

Nice problems to have.

At least we know what Lego Head is refining his tactics for now!

Are these the same lads that made that bridge that fell down in the ‘Murican Reich?

Hope so

Surely a cliff would defeat a high tide.

Depends on the depth of the water at high tide, dumbass.

High tide is needed to wash away the bodies.

Watching City now reminds me of watching Dr Who as a kid. Peeking through my fingers from behind the sofa as the Sea Devils emerged onto the beach

Must be bloody awful signing £70m players while only needing a home win in the last CL match of the group to reach a Play-Off, all from the comfort of a top 5 position.

You really think we're capable of beating a champions league team on a 19 game unbeaten domestic run whilst maintaining a top 4 challenge what sort of optimistic glass half full nut do you think i am?

Absolutely. you offer me problems like these 40 years ago  i'd have snapped your hand off and you wouldn't be getting it back.

City have the kind of problems that supports of 80+ other clubs would love to have. But it's all relative.

Finding the best way to feed Haaland has long been an issue for City.

For me you just throw herring into his holding pen, jobs a good un.

Big Sam would have us pumping crosses in. Pep doesn't seem to be a fan of crosses as they concede possession.

I'd be pumping long balls to him whenever a team tries to press us.

Have you tried making train noises as you bring the fork to his mouth?

Worked for my nippers.
