I'm gonna watch the Forest game this evening and try and make an active effort to convince myself that they're shit and will fall away.

Counter attack with pace from Elanga and CHO.

Hitting a big man (in the form of his life).

Support from willing runners (MGW, Anderson).

Dirty bastard in the middle.

Defensively resolute, with special mention to Murillo who is by far their best defender.

Consistent 11.

We showed the blueprint to beat them; Be physical in the middle of the park, peg back their fullbacks, 'professional' fouls to stop any counter attack, quick breaks of your own.

Yeah I don't doubt we can beat them but the rest of the league seems incredibly slow at responding to tactical shifts in other teams, or plotting how to deal with them. Almost like most of the people running football clubs aren't really that smart.

I would add to your list that prioritising an early goal would be significant - forces them to attack against a defending team and opens up potential for the quick breaks you mention.

Where's the apology?

This was from 3rd of January. I can't imagine it's changed significantly. Title is all but certainly going to end up at Anfield. Analysts still think Forest will drop off, but they haven't a particularly bad run of fixtures ahead of them.

Their worst run of games is coming up at the end of January through to early March. But even then, Bournemouth, Brighton and Fulham are all eminently beatable for a side that likes to play on the counter.

This season is pretty similar to the 15/16 season.

Two of the "big 6" having absolutely honking seasons and the other 4 having, by their standards, middling-to-poor point returns. A lot of stodge in the middle of the table. Some traditionally midtable sides having poor seasons.

The surprise team that barely survived relegation in the previous season suddenly making a tilt to the top spot. And that team being reliant on a counter attack style that appears to be catching everyone off guard.

Only 40% chance of top 5? Bollocks.

You could inly get 6/4 for 5 or more goals in this snoozefest. I'm in the big smoke, LONDON, eating a fucking massive pizza on my hotel bed like a tramp.

Well that begs the question why wouldn’t you have been in LONDON last night at the fuckin game? 😀

Depends if you believe the description of it on the menu or the reality of it on the plate.

I had to go downstairs to pick it up and this American kid at the bar goes "excuse me sir. I turned around for like 5 minutes, and then your pizza was there and it might have been there a few minutes. If it tastes old, just let us know and we'll make you another one"

I told him I'm fucking starving and it won't matter what it tastes like but thank you anyway.

Haha, going to games is in my past unless something presents itself. I'm too much of a hermit these days. Plus I think if you're not a boozer, the whole thing of going to the match carries much less interest.

Also work didn't need me to come down on the Tuesday.

15/4 on a Spurs win is where the smart money was.
