Things can easily swing around and the law of averages say we can't keeping winning every week. We have Wolves, Bournemouth, Southampton and Fulham. A great opportunity to put the after burners on but there is no chance we'll win all of them. That would be 9 league games on the spin, I think you’ve said a few times we’re a mid-table side. Obviously we’ve got some very good players but the current run skews things. And we know our squad isn’t that deep. Particularly in some very key areas. While we’ve got a chance of CL I think Europa League would be decent. We’ve got no chance of winning the league imo

We’ve got no chance of winning the league imo we'd have to win pretty much all of our remaining games to have a chance. even then, it would leave us on 89 points, which isn't always enough. so yeah, probably less than a 1% chance of it happening. this run has put us back in the mix for champions league though, as it will probably the top 5 that qualify this year. i'd say we have a top 4 first team but a midtable squad. if we can steer clear of injuries and add a player or two this month, we can get champions league football again.
Gemmill 49834
I think we'll get CL cos of how many of the contenders are having indifferent seasons, and because the games are really gonna pile up for those teams in this second half of the season. Forest are a bit of a worry. If they weren't having the season they're having we'd be a shoo-in for CL.
Rayvin 5918
I'm gonna watch the Forest game this evening and try and make an active effort to convince myself that they're shit and will fall away.

We’ve got no chance of winning the league imo I think there are a big bunch of teams this year that could go either way (both drop off or be in the hunt for CL spots). A lot will depend on injuries and tiredness. We’ve also managed to finally find the balance in centre midfield and Murphy is currently in a massive purple patch. As PL says though we are an Isak injury away from dropping down a few places.
aimaad22 4661
If we keep most of the main players fit we can get CL, especially if 5th gets you that, no idea whats the latest on that UEFA coefficient thing or whatever it's called. Squad depth is obviously the issue with us, especially at CF. Isak gets injured and we're screwed. We're not a mid table side with a fit team though, we're easily CL challengers. Isak and most of our midfield would start for most PL sides, you could argue Hall and Tino are not far off. Botman too when match fit. This is where Tonali, Hall and Gordon have really added value. It's not just Isak and Bruno carrying the team with occasional help from your Miggys and Murphys. There's proper quality across the park now. The positive thing for me now is the team seems to believe that which gives you the ability to put together these runs in between the inevitable hiccups.

As PL says though we are an Isak injury away from dropping down a few places. Yep. It’s funny how seemingly little things can create a big change in form. Tonali looks more comfortable sitting, and that releases Bruno to play further forward where his through balls can cause damage. There’s obviously an increased understanding that comes with that midfield 3 playing together too. What I also like is they’re all happy receiving the ball under pressure which allows better attacking football. Murphy playing well means Gordon can play on his favoured side. And Isak’s form has been discussed loads but it’s not really easy for a central lone striker to influence play much when the team isn’t playing consistently well. I think it’s as much to do with that with Isak as opposed to his playing much better. I do think Murphy is a bit underrated though. Even though he’s obviously in a great bit of form. I always think a lot of people underestimate how much confidence impacts team performances as well.

Ayatollah Hermione 14662
Bournemouth at home is a big game IMO. It’ll be a hard one as they’re a very decent side but that feels like as big a six pointer as the Villa game did
Dougle 3677
People go an about games piling up for the top teams as if it is a genuinely bad thing. In my experience it seems that as long as a club avoids a ton of injuries it can work in their favour, keep momentum going so to speak Even look at us, 8 games between 4 December and 4 January, 6 wins 1 draw (against the runaway league leaders) and 1 defeat. And let’s face it those teams with the pile ups because of Europe and extended cup runs usually have deeper squads.
Gemmill 49834
Arsenal have got 9 games in January alone. A game every 3 days. And it'll be as bad in the months after that. There's no way that's helpful.

Aye probably but all those top teams with the endless fixtures are usually there or thereabouts with trophies/euro qualification every year come the end of the season. At least we got mentioned a few times courtesy of being the comparison between the two Man Utd games Granted, it was all "Man Utd changed things and did this" rather than "Newcastle were just better than Liverpool at dealing with them", but hey ho. Take what we can get I suppose.
