Rayvin 5491 Posted Monday at 11:24 Share Posted Monday at 11:24 Aye, I was talking to an Arsenal fan the other day and he was saying they'd had two players sent off for time wasting  Arteta clearly taking the 'if you can't beat'em, join'em' approach with this.  Shame then that he doesn't know how to do it properly... why are your players already on yellow cards, doing the timewasting? That feels like a fairly stupid approach.

If we can grind out a draw or a defeat by the odd goal, it’s game on back at SJP Well I think we’re all of that opinion. No one has really addressed our weakened side though, or the near absolute fuckin necessity for Arteta to win a trophy very soon for the sake of his own job… for that reason alone I think there’s a chance they’ll play a strong side and try to put the tie to bed as best they can tomorrow night, not to mention their fixture list with two champions league games at the end of January. If they do try to go for it then I think they’re ripe for being hit on the counter and it’ll make for a very competitive and watchable game. But with a half fit Sven or the fairly average Kelly in our back line coupled with the signs of fatigue shown in the 57 minute second half on Saturday then for me it’s going to very be tricky to get a servicable outcome… a draw would be a fuckin great result… Edited Monday at 12:27 by PaddockLad

But a trophy + 2nd place makes him hard to sack at the end of the season. Ask Sir Jim Ratcliffe for details
